Remember if you're even earlier than East Coast that means the trainings are happening the night before the event. E.g. for West Coast or Pacific time Saturday's midnight practice is 21:00 on Friday or 9:00 PM, or 23:00/11:00 PM for central.

What exactly does it mean to you for a skater to "have a future"? Genuine question. Gushchina isn't really close to Dina in any way...

I think Muravieva has no future prospects. It's not as dire for Mura as Akatieva who I think there's an 80% chance this will be her final competitive skate, but I cannot see Mura ever having a triple axel again, she's lost fitness (and presumably discipline if she's lost fitness) since going to Mishin, everything looks so slow and difficult for her, and she hasn't been happy skating for several years. Even when she was doing well she never seemed to enjoy it.

So many skaters have now over taken her even someone like Kamilla Neliubova has surpassed Mura now. Petrosian, Sadkova, Dvoeglazava, Zarakhova, Frolova, Gushchina, Dina, all ahead off the top of my head. A couple seasons back you could put a clean Mura in the top 3. That's a long way away now.

It's two seasons of consistent decline now.

I know they will push Dina higher than Gushchina due to her coach (even though they are lowballed a little compared to the past except for Petrosian), but Dina does not have much future I think it will only get harder for her from here.

That makes sense, before seeing your post I wrote my post saying she's an 80% chance to retire after this event.

It's probably for the best I feared it was going to be like Maya Khromykh a couple years ago.

And the injury that developed in September still bothers me. I've tried treating it many times, both with and without exercise. Over the past few months, I've changed skates three times, and that has provided some temporary relief.I have been preparing for the competition in a short period of time, but I still can't get into full shape without foot pain.The decisions to skip tournaments this season were very difficult for me.I really dream of finally getting back to training healthy and preparing for competitions. I dream of returning to audiences and performing my routines. I will do everything possible to recover and return.

This was very difficult news to read on TG. Akateva seems so sweet I can't stand to witness this perpetual misfortune of hers. It's hard to imagine she deserves any of it.
