Kam/O’Shea, an obvious choice. It’s hard to believe this is a first Olympic team for Danny; I’ve been watching him forever!

Yes, Andrea said Danny had been competing for 14 years - it's far more than that. We watched him win the National Novice Men's title in St. Paul at 2008 Nationals. He was a teenager, had hair, incredible skating skills and a few triples. Utterly adorable. Andrea must have been counting backwards from when he switched to pairs. Makes my heart so happy for him. I remember hearing that his parents gave him a much-desired puppy (a lab, I think) to celebrate his win in Novice Men. If the dog is still around, she would be 18 years old.

Chock and Bates have had a controversially easy path to gold this entire quad and now that the biggest championship of the quad approaches, one thing is certain for the first time: their victory in Milan in the individual dance event is certainly not guaranteed.
