2026 U.S. Nationals Gala Making The Team

This is like watching paint drying. I guess it's good for those that need to learn more about these skaters. I just want to know who is on the team. Carry on...
Yes in The old days the put pair, women, dance, men up and said here the team. Carried on with show with other skaters.
This makes more special

Yes, Andrea said Danny had been competing for 14 years - it's far more than that. We watched him win the National Novice Men's title in St. Paul at 2008 Nationals. He was a teenager, had hair, incredible skating skills and a few triples. Utterly adorable. Andrea must have been counting backwards from when he switched to pairs. Makes my heart so happy for him. I remember hearing that his parents gave him a much-desired puppy (a lab, I think) to celebrate his win in Novice Men. If the dog is still around, she would be 18 years old.
Yes he got the puppy. Maybe he will get another. ❤️. I love him so dang much.

He looks about 10 years younger. Not like the filling spots that u s. Showed between skating groups that show him older with a mustache

Torgashev being named is NOT a surprise. I started to watch, but I'm not interested in sitting through the nonsense and the inane chatter. I just saw Vincent Zhou grandly announcing Torgashev as 'the newest Olympian'. 🙄 Unnecessary. They are placing too much emphasis on being named an Olympian, when it's actually the journey and the process that truly counts, whether you make the Olympic team or not; medal at the Olympics or not.

This is not a classy way of doing things, but U.S. figure skating has never been classy nor possessed much common sense, leadership, or vision.

Forget about the inept commentating crew. It's all so awkward and disconnected to what the skaters work so hard for and sacrifice so much for. Gabby is NOT a good ice dance commentator just because she was an Olympic champion ice dancer.

For those who'd like a visual comparison...

Everyone had serious dip in the mid to late season, but Torgashev's was the deepest and most worrying one. But to balance that out, his redemption skate after that dip was equally more impressive than the others' recovery skate.

I can't read who is who - the print is way too small but I appreciate the effort
