Good. I'm glad you're enjoying it. NBC and U.S. fed are very hamhanded, IMO. Plus, the idea that these skaters are now 'part of the Olympic family' means that those who don't make it, aren't valued and part of the 'family'? They over-hype things so much in skating, especially during the Olympics, as if that's the be-all and end-all, and it's not. The sport doesn't adequately pay attention to issues they should be concerned with that can help benefit athletes in their careers.
The other part is, why drag out the announcing so much? They chiefly want to sell us ads and hype the Olympics. It's just too much over-commercialization. But I'm happy for the athletes who make it. Clearly, they were already told beforehand, which is a good thing.
Saying that they are already Olympians is an overstatement. They don't become Olympians until they actually compete at the Olympics. Hopefully, they will all compete their best. I especially hope Ellie can overcome her landing quirks. It was nice to see their families and friends supporting them. It looks like Ellie's mom gave her the Olympic team jacket. I also noticed that Isabella Flores was there to support Ellie & Danny. Isabella and Ellie are very close friends. Ellie has said how much Isabella inspires her. They grew up together at WASA.
