Does anyone think Zingas/Kolesnik will actually go to 4CC? They would have had to agree to go but just curious.

This looks like it's my theoretical Olympic Dream Team.

Top eligible US Nationals competitors in each discipline get the assignment. I am happy.

Actually surprised they named them. I wonder if ask. As previously mentioned those that go to olympics doesn't go to 4cc

Speculation on this from Jackie Wong on X: "Zingas/Kolesnik are currently 8th in ISU World Standing - I'm guessing it's possible for them to move up to the final group with 4CC points?"
That's what I was thinking because it boost their placement in the individual event.

See, I'm confused now.

Aren't the final two groups a random draw of skaters in the top-two-group standings? Like in dance, take the Top 10 world ranking skaters and random draw them for spots in the last two groups?

If so, their 8th current ranking would be fine. They've got as much chance for a final group RD drawing as anyone else in the Top 10. Of course, these things change, so I could be going from memory of how things were two cycles ago.

4CC runs until Jan 25th; Olympics Team event for ID is Feb 6-8. I hope they're planning to fly right from China to Italy.

I feel like this was a waste of time- none of the selections were a surprise. And I am quite certain that everyone who was selected knew beforehand that they were on the team.

Why d i get feeling it is false. I going to check my Twitter box of copies I keep to see if I dont have picture of olympic team and my figure skating box that I dont have info on this before.
Just because .

Yes. They always do know, at least as far back as Adam Rippon’s day. He talked about it in his book. They get a text.
Torgashev was a surprise to some.
