The Japanese stream from the always-amazing Hua-Hua (aka QQ-man) is a thousand times better than having to listen to Tara and Johnny. I have a Peacock subscription but I'm sad they're not doing a World feed version with Ashley and Ben commentating like with Pairs.
I just subscribed JSports for this event.

Japanese commentator is Kensuke Nakaniwa. He is coach of Ami, Rinka and Yuna.
I myself experienced the tension of the Nationals right up until two weeks ago.

There must be a mic very close to the ice because you can hear every pick and stroke

What a fun program from Erica, despite the jumping errors! It was impressive to get a +3T off of that lutz, I don't think Erica has really trained 3+3 but that helped get some points for the element. I love the Chappell Roan medley, and Erica choreographed parts of these programs, which is really cool!

If you look along the boards there is a candle like microphone every so many feet.
I noticed them watching practices. Oh they are gone now

From Jackie Wong on X:
"Erica Machida is a late bloomer - literally a collegiate skater who learned all their triples in their early 20s in like a year; making their debut at Nationals"

that's so cool! Sonja Hilmer is another "late bloomer" who got the jumps late but both Sonja and Erica bring some special artistry to their programs
