Great effort from Manjesh!! He has potentials, I wonder if he has been in the JGP at all? I don't seem to recall...

Though, he'll probably fare better with less "loud & out" music. I think slower pace will suit his current development better :)

Sorry that I wasn't able to comment after FANG Ze Zeng (MAS). I was finishing off what I had been doing during the resurfacing. But, I did see him, and I enjoyed it.

I also enjoyed Manjesh TIWARI (IND). And he clearly enjoyed himself too!

He did the Junior GP held in Bangkok for the last 2 seasons. But that's it.

Manjesh is actually based in Adelaide, training under Richard Laidlaw, who used to coach James Min (as well as one of my Cypriot kids, Laura Farran).

Good to see Richard sitting with him (sorry, I don't know the female coach).

He goes into 11th position.

What surreal music from RO Yong Myong (PRK). It was like traditional Korean music that had been given a 1980's twist.

But, I loved it!!!

What a fun programme!

He seems happy. And so he should.

He goes into 4th position.

And I bet that if this had been a round of the predictions game, nobody would have predicted that.

Oh dear. Shun SATO (JPN) didn't have the best of skates.

Oh no Shun :(:( I hope he's not injured or having any health issues...

When he came off the ice and leaned up against the boards to put on his skate guards, the same thought went through my head. That he was maybe injured.

He looks disappointed. But his team-mates in the audience are happy. I take it they are trying to cheer him up.

He goes into 4th position. Just 1.51 points ahead of RO Yong Myong (PRK) who skated immediatly before him.

CHA Junhwan (KOR) just closed out the opening day of the figure skating with a great performance!

He should go into 2nd position. But, where abouts?

Roughly half-way between Yuma KAGIYAMA (JPN) and DAI Daiwei (CHN).

No reaction at all from either him or coach CHI Hyunjung.

Commentators have been mentioning personal best scores, but I believe the scores obtained in AWG don't count towards PB or SB, am I correct?

Can skaters get minimums for worlds here though?

Yes, the commentators mean that these are unofficial PBs because these aren't ISU PB/SBs. Scores here can count towards tech minimums though, yes

Does anybody know where to find info about judging panel? I see some very intriguing choices on the protocol sheet
