Poor Aliona cannot catch a break - she had Covid a second time, after recovering from breaking her left arm.
About leaving Eteri's team:
I'm happy they managed to part ways like adults this time! (Except on the part of the "dancer guy", but we all know he can never shut his mouth up...)About leaving Eteri's team:

Косторная об уходе от Тутберидзе: «Решили, что выжали из нашего сотрудничества все, что могли, и время пришло. Принесла не букет, а корзину фруктов»
Чемпионка Европы Алена Косторная рассказала об уходе из группы тренера Этери Тутберидзе в марте этого года. – Разные реакции на твой переход последний.www.sports.ru
European champion Alena Kostornaya spoke about the departure of coach Eteri Tutberidze from the group in March of this year.
- Different reactions to your last transition. Someone says: “Why is she running from coach to coach!”
I know whose words these are! Alena Leonova. I want to say this: without knowing the situation, it is very difficult to judge what happened.
The situation remained between me and Eteri Georgievna and the coaching staff. If we broke up, then we came to a mutual decision. It's not like I annoyed someone, but they told me - get out of here!
But at the same time, it was not me who told the coaches: “You know, you are such and such, I will not work with you.” Of course not.
I believe that both athletes and coaches deserve respect. Because it was teamwork, collective. But after analyzing the whole situation, we decided that we basically squeezed everything we could out of our cooperation, and the time has come.
- So you had a good conversation?
- Yes, it's not that we cursed each other, everyone quarreled. Everything is absolutely calm, fine.
Did you bring a bouquet?
“I didn’t bring a bouquet, but a basket of fruits,” said Kostornaya.

A real stunner. A youtube vid of her performance.
Most skaters need firework to keep you entertained.I think this has become my favourite performance of her ever... I don't care about 3A, this is just something else...

So expressive, seamless…. I don’t think she can make a bad or awkward moveI think this has become my favourite performance of her ever... I don't care about 3A, this is just something else...
She is looking really good and just starting to recover from her injuries. Wait another 2 or 3 months and aliona will be even better. I hope she is following what's going on and to see how well Loena did scoring about 220 points at worlds and Kaori scoring well over 230 points at worlds and both without ultra si.just gorgeous.
I love this shot
She could surely score like that if she skates clean and confident, but in russia I don't think anybody without ultra-c would be considered for international selection (understandable from their point of view). She is looking really good and just starting to recover from her injuries. Let's just hope AK gets real opportunities to compete next season but it's all up in the air for reasons she is not responsible for.
I have heard Russia can't be banned from the GP series because that is not based on nationality just performance and numbers only. I'm not 100% sure about that but that's what I've heard from others. She could surely score like that if she skates clean and confident, but in russia I don't think anybody without ultra-c would be considered for international selection (understandable from their point of view).
As usual Aliona got the short stick because she gained herself those GP spots that the fed won't probably give her, but they will be gone before russia will return to international competitions.
