Andrei Mozalev

Andrei said he stayed on the ice after his competitions to work with amateur skaters as a coach. He said that he appreciates his students very much, that he enjoys working as a coach and this experience helps him to rethink his performances, to see what he needs to work on. He wishes himself calm and good luck at the Russian Championships.

Eteri Tutberidze commented on Andrei Mozalev's content in the short program.
Last night the figure skater performed at the test skates of Tutberidze's group.
Daniil Gleikhengauz: We tried to skate a short program with two quad jumps. We have to decide before the Russian Championships what content [Mozalev] should skate. So far we are convinced that the content we have been skating during the season is more suitable.
Eteri Tutberidze: You can't win with a short program, but you can lose. Of course, you have to skate the short program cleanly. The scale tipped more towards the 3-3 cascade. Yes?
Andrei Mozalev: I would have skated two quads at the Russian Championships anyway, it's the most important start after all.
Tutberidze: Then now we are not fighting for anything.
Mozalev: It's better to leave everything here than at the Russian Championships.
Tutberidze: Of course, it is better to leave it here. The final decision has not been made yet with the short program. We will continue to watch. Of course, we wanted to go to the Russian Championships with two quadruplets. But I don't think Andrei is confident. Or is he? He says he's confident.

11th place but no shame. Andrei is artistic skater and he surely learns more.
Andrei caught a serious cold and almost couldn't breathe during the Championship, on his day off he lay in his room unmoving. In light of this, I can state that he did the best he could under the assumed circumstances. The only thing that saddens me is the second score, which has been steadily dropping while others have been growing.

Holyday`s spirit

And this one

While people in Russia are finishing the Olivier salad left over from New Year's Eve, Andrei is already out on the ice and back to training.

He also pokes fun at those who criticize the frames of his glasses :cheeky:

Andrei makes New Year's promises as part of the Champions League Challenge:

I promise not to be lazy,
I promise to work hard on the ice every day,
I will motivate myself to win.

The end, I'm off to practice (grabs skates, runs away).

Let's pray for the patience of Mozalev, who was not allowed to participate in the Russian Grand Prix final at the last moment, and wish him good luck in the new season. We, like him, have no other option.
It is good that there is an opportunity to take part in the show.

The first show program for Tutberidze's show. In total Andrei got two new programs, I like both of them. They are good to take them together. This program is deeply philosophical and lyrical, it is called “Prayer”.
