Andrew Torgashev

Perhaps that might be your browser? It is showing up as "Journey" for me, at least across the banner.
It is also showing up as "jurney" for me in the banner, but it's fine in the website. The Pizza King meme has caught on and Andrew may be looking beyond his skating career. The merch doesn't even have his name anywhere. :scratch2:

He is skating at Golden West later in the month (no need for him to travel!). I don't know if that is part of the Challenger Series or how prestigious it is considered.

In the LinkTree link in his Instagram bio, it also lists a YouTube Channel. No content yet, but the description says, "Documenting my life and journey as a Team USA Figure Skater to the 2026 Olympic Trials."

I believe Golden West is a "local competition" and doesn't count for anything. I don't think it's even an official ISU competition, though it uses IJS. I believe Andrew last did it in 2022, when he was still in his comeback phase. It didn't go well by his scores, IIRC, and I don't think it was streamed? EDIT: Golden West is an NQS event this year, but of course Andrew doesn't need it for NQS.

I am still hoping he'll get an actual Challenger this season. Other than Worlds, his less-good LPs last season were at both Challengers, and then he did very well at the GPs and Nationals. Will he have enough mileage to do well at 2025 GP France? I know full well that people can skate well in season debuts, but program mileage certainly seems helpful in many cases. 🤔

It looks like just Ilia and Max will be at Lombardia. I agree that it would be helpful for Andrew to get a Challenger to see how his programs stack up score-wise against the best in the world. Even if he didn't do all that well, it would maybe put less pressure on the really big events.

It may be an advantage that GP France is the first in the series, but that is still two months away. He does seem confident enough with the long to show it off early, whereas most of the other skaters picked old programs or exhibitions for the Sizzler show last week.

I guess he might be assigned at Nebelhorn trophy or Nepela memorial. We'll see.

It's not a Challenger comp, not an ISU comp at all. Something domestic and optional for Andrew. But it's good for program mileage.
I suppose 😄

There is something else for free and without any payment/delivery quests 😂
I mean open spotify lists 😄 I take it to explore 😊

Google says it's ok as a simplified spelling of journey.
Sorry for my curiosity 😄 Once I was puzzled even by 'color' and 'colour' 😄

I will say, with all the love I have for Andrew, I wish the merch was more skating centered. If I wear a "Pizza King" t shirt in Eastern PA, folks are going to want to know where the new pizza joint is. ;)

We all love the look and the image of bladed boots 😆
Maybe one day this cute pizza slice will put his painted skates on his painted feet 😂
Let the torch light him the way to find his skates 😊

I liked the website, its design, the merch and its description (fun and meaningful) 😊
It's funny that only VK has videos of some performances from long ago Andrew posted on the site 😂
Great performances.
Great memories of wonderful late nights spent watching US Nationals and chatting with friends 😊

It was a treat to see the video with decent lighting and camerawork, which make a big difference. The step sequence was similar, but I think that Andrew has added some details to the program since mid-July. I imagine that he and Shae-Lynn will tweak it more as needed. Some good online feedback from fans as well. :)

Sadly Andrew has posted mostly his jeep and the beach when he was injured and I was dying for skating content. 😁

Other skaters have posted selfies with cows at Nebelhorn (or else I am having a fever dream) but I can't find them now.
The jeep and beach don't sound great, at least Andrew posts updates about hiking trips and other endeavors now.

The cows in Europe always look cute, so we may get scenic shots of them from someone at Nebelhorn!

It's good that this competition may not count for anything. It looks like two major mistakes and only a score of 68 in the short. 🙁
Agreed. UR 4T with a fall and a 2F in the combo spot. I thought the 2F would be zero points, but they gave him the BV of a 2F with the 10% bonus, and then -5 GOE. So it wasn't zero; not sure why with no video. Believe it or not, his score at 2022 Golden West was lower.

Let's hope his Nebelhorn SP goes better than it did last year. Although, what he just did was actually a few points higher than 2024 Nebelhorn. Get it out of the way now, Andrew, so you're ready when it matters.
