Yes, that sounds very much like Sasha. I think she is perfectionist in almost everything in her life, which is why she cannot settle for a C-list acting career or a spiral that is 179 degrees. But as for requesting what she wants on her plate...I am the same way and I am not an international skater!
Lol, the part about the waiter/et al was something I read about Sasha (think it was this past summer?) about how when she was getting interviewed the interviewer noticed how
exact Sasha is in what she eats & when she eats. They were at some eatery & Sasha had ordered something healthy (think it was fish?) & it wasn't to her specification, so she sent it back & it still wasn't to her exact specifications, but this time she decided to just settle for less, lol. But Sasha told the interviewer about how hard it was to get the right type of food to eat when touring (I HAVE to find that article), most of the skaters just ordered room service, which wasn't that healthy. But one can tell that Sasha tried her best, even taking along her own little healthy snacks (think it was celery sticks/nuts/granola) while on the touring bus going from city to city. I just found the article fascinating/interesting. Hmm, I know I also just read something recently about how Sasha's mom cooks for her, but was this while on tour? Anybody out there know? Or was it at the last Olympics????
Hearsay info about Sasha Cohen that's been passed along to me: she was sighted working on footwork with Lori Nichol at a southern California rink last weekend.
Thanks, Sylvia, for some info. finally!

No matter how small, any little tidbit is appreciated, for ALL skaters.
Sasha has not shown us much since 2006, so we have no idea what she is capable of. If her SOI/fluff events are any evidence, it's not promising. But I don't think we can judge based on that because very few have seen what she is doing in practice and how severe her injury really is.
I just wanted to say that I, for one, consider her SOI performances pretty awesome, as far as choreography, creativity, performance, et al. Yes, they may have had only one or two jumps at most, but that's not what drew me into the performance. For example, my fav SOI routines of Sasha's were the Guardian Angel one where she is wearing wings, and also the one where she looked absolutely breathtaking as a Cirque du Soleil type of ballerina dancing on a pedestal (showing off her exquisite flexibility/artistry), then being carried around by the guys of SOI.

Lastly, her Moonlight Sonata was another masterpiece. JMHO.

So once again I say for me her SOI routines are
evidence of something awesome to look forward to!
The last US skater I've seen on TV doing a non-skating endorsement has been Kimmie-Subway and Under Armour. And Michelle with Kraft. But those ran a few years ago.
I looooooooove the one with Michelle Kwan! Lol, I actually made that salad to see how it would taste.
Mathman knows alot about Alissa so he can fill in - but afaik, Alissa's family is not wealthy and if she could make extra money to help pay for her training I have a feeling she would probably consider it.
I think she is a very pretty and photogenic young lady and it is surprising that she hasn't been in commercials. But there is a difference between being a Natl champion and a World Champion or Olympic medalist.
There was an article that came out last year about how Alissa's agent was shocked & saddened that she wasn't getting any endorsements nor television appearances (aka Leno, Letterman, etc.) after her Nationals win. I don't know if that has changed, but it could be because of the way the economy is nowadays...
