Thanks, the montage is wonderful and brought back such memories.
It is nice that Sasha could always return to Nicks and seems fitting that she is back with him again.
With a B.A. and an M.A. in the works.
In addition to 5 World championships, 9 US Championships, and 2 Olympic medals.

She could be in a few years. She's one of few with spirals as good as Sasha, and Sasha managed to get good results and fame with puny jumps too. If Caroline fixed the mule kick and expressed more, she'd be a lot like Sasha.

That clip truly does capture all the ups & downs, trials & tribulations, joy & laughter & heartbreak, and everything in between for not only the irascible old British coach & his equally dogged pupil, but also us fans as well. Lol, they both remind me of my much beloved Chihuahuas, especially Rocky.
Seriously, it's like the movie "The Champ", but in reverse, especially if Sasha does manage to succeed against all odds. Which I wouldn't put it past her, anything can happen, anything!
80 yrs. old, and Mr. Nicks is still there, always by her side, only she can make him come back again & again & again....

It means at the moment Caroline is more popular at GS than a skater who retired 5 years ago. And a skater who retired 3 years ago.
But no reason for envy from the Kwankers - if you go through various topics you will see Michelle's name comes up alot with reminders from toni this is not the MK forum
Since it is apparent that many kwaniacs can't accept their Kween has retired maybe someone should start a new Michelle topic devoted to her accomplishments and current life as a grad student and ambassador.
Surely such a topic would reach 1000 posts and that would be quite a milestone for a retired skater. :yes:

^^Don't worry Us "Kwankers" are a pretty sane bunch and have moved on. I don't give a rusty hoot if Sasha has more replies in her thread than a Michelle thread, it is not a contest or rivlary. Besides JF I think more than half the posts in this thread are written by Sasha's No. #1 Fan.

Actually I got involved here when I read so many negative remarks about Sasha.
Then as I saw this topic approaching 900 posts I decided to help push it to 1000.
Keeping in mind "post often, post long" this was not as easy as I thought it would be :yes:
Then it dawned on me that several posters have such animosity towards Sasha that it would be simple enough to get them to contribute - and they didn't let me down
The funniest thing is that I am and will always be a Michelle fan.
I also happen to be a Sasha fan too.
When it comes to these two wonderful skaters my feelings were always stronger and deeper for Michelle. When Michelle competed I always wanted her to WIN.
When Sasha skated I never cared as much if she won, and although Michelle will always have more titles - Sasha certainly managed to skate her way onto many podiums.
I do admit I find the animosity directed at Sasha surprising and reading some of the comments one could think Sasha never accomplished a thing in skating.
I also have to say Sasha has left a legacy and watching today's skaters I see moves and positions that were first introduced and made popular by Sasha.
I may like Michelle more but I am also very fond of Sasha and still have never seen a skater capable of so many exquisite positions on the ice.

I thought their official name was the Cohenheads.
My faves are the Butt-heads (Jeff Buttle) and the Yuna-bombers.(For GS members outside the U.S., the "Unabomber" was a crazy oerson who sent bombs through the mail and killed some university professors. He was caught a few years ago -- turned in by his brother.)

I am hoping that she is back with Nicks, they are so cute together, but we can't seem to get a straight answer from the Sasha team and all the mixed up reporting going on does not help. Again, we have to wait for Nationals to see who is at the boards.
