Boikova and Kozlovskii capture first national title in pairs

Rising stars Aleksandra Boikova and Dmitrii Kozlovskii edged out two-time World silver medalists Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov by less than half a point to capture their first national title at the Russian National Championships in Krasnoyarsk on Saturday. The bronze went to Daria Pavliuchenko and Denis Khodykin.

So thrilled and excited for them! And super glad they were able to put the disaster of the GPF behind them. They must be the youngest national champs since G/G?

I'm a little surprised they were as close to T/M in the PCS marks as they were considering T/M's sole mistake didn't harm the flow of the program at all and B/K still have a lot of work to do before the reach T/M's level. But perhaps its a hopeful sign that the Russian fed. will start putting some rubles behind them internationally and that the GPF didn't hurt in the fed's eyes.
