It's lovely! A really beautiful program. Don't get me started on the dress, however...
haha I don't think it's ALL bad. I like the colours, and I can see what she's trying to do but I would maybe get rid of the burgundy sash and maybe work the darker colours more into the bodice?

Oh, no, it's definitely NOT all bad! I love the skirt, the colours and the sash but the top and knicker make her look more than a little bit naked, which I'm sure isn't the effect she's going for! I really do love the skirt and sash, though. I really hope Phebe/her costumier can make it look a little bit less naked for the rest of the season, as that skirt and basic design are glorious.

Nude/beige/blush shades are notoriously prone to problems under lights and cameras, especially now that there are so many different shades available. Don't get me wrong, the availability of different skin tones is wonderful and long overdue but they do need to be used with care. Back in the days when "American tan" was pretty much all that was on offer, no-one's eyes were ever fooled into thinking a skater had forgotten their vest! These days, I'm very wary.

Phebe and James did so well!!
That's a really high score for the silver medal. Chance to reach JGPF? Have they got a second event in Poland or Egna?

Just watched an interview of them with Mark Hanretty. They look so happy!

Looking like Egna, where I think they will face Hannah & Ye AND the Mrazeks. I would maybe swap them with Bushell/Lapsky and go to Poland 1 where the field is much more empty as I think they could do better as they'd be against Fradji/Forneaux (whos JGP France scores they beat last weekend)

I think it will be Egna as well. I have noticed, Neset/Markelov and K/K from Cyprus must also be assigned there... that would be one packed event!

In case it hasn't been posted, I spotted that Anything GOEs posted an interview with Phebe and James last week.

I've looked again and Gauthier/Thieren will be there too - incredibly stacked week!

Luckily, Phebe and James have decided to switch into Poland 1 🤩 - where they will face Fradji/Forneaux & Kida/Morita

Ted Barton seemed totally blown away by them! As was I, having never seen them compete before. Such a brilliant start to their Junior career. I'm absolutely thrilled.
I took notice of them when I saw them for the first time at British Nationals 2 or 3 years ago - they really stood out as great performers.

Were those your costumes they were wearing today, @WednesdayMarch ?

So excited for British junior ice dancers just now! I can’t believe how much Ashlie and Atl have improved since 2020 considering how much disrupted training they had. So fast and engaging, plus some really great and unique elements.

It’s so great that they’ll get a chance at junior worlds this year too - at this rate GB will get 2 spots at junior and senior worlds for a few years to come!

Fear and Gibson hit their mile stones of passing 80 in the RD, 120 in the FD and over 200 overall at Nebelhorn!

It’s a big jump from US Classic but a good sign for the GP series even if their score isn’t this high straight away.

Bekker & Hernandez stand in the Bronze medal position at JGP Gdańsk and that’s with a twizzle error by Bekker at the death of the program. It’s looking good for the Free Dance!

They got silver, with a new seasons best in the free dance!

This means it is highly likely they have qualified for the Grand Prix final!
