In case anyone is wondering how Daisuke’s debut was received in Japan...here are some of the non-bashing opinions
- Wonderful to see him back
- Good for him but the media should have featured the winner (Kazuki Tomono )
- Media coverage is crazy
- Looked really tired. He is too old to compete.
- Why did he come back , does not make sense.
- Worried about the future of the sport if the younger skaters were beaten by a veteran with 4 years’ blank
I agree with everything except the “tired and too old”. (Only Dai knows the real reason for his comeback)
They probably have not seen all other male skaters struggle with the 4 min.
And yeah the young skaters better watch out! Although without the quads, Dai ‘s choreo is way more beautiful than any of them imho.

He is a joy to watch regardless of how good his jums and spins are and I'm in love with his new programs, but please Dai, be careful and healthy!
Personally I just can't get enough of this choreo Sq, am repeating it again and again. I can watch it all day!
