Dave Thomas was a great man, and I always appreciated the way he championed adoption without bringing religion, the abortion issue or other personal views of morality into it. He was an adopted child himself and very grateful to his adoptive parents, and he simply wanted to see every orphan find a home, no specific ethics, beliefs or other "rules"required. I still miss Dave and his wonderful Wendy's commercials.
