Deniss looks so handsome.Message from Deniss - invitation for FaoI:
Message from Shuya Kobayashi who was singing live during Deniss (and Takahito Mura) skating:
And his photo with Deniss:
I truly don't understand the silence around these shows in general. I understand that there are strict streaming rights, but it seems ridiculous to me that skating fans can't get any crumbs - and this is a sport that is constantly complaining about losing fans and money. That said, I am pretty confident that someone will find a way to show most of the show. There's an unusual media silence around this stop in Niigata, though there has been a live viewing (in movie theatres; people have complained that cameras tended to follow more singers than skaters, without mentioning names, I hope this won't affect what we can see of Deniss' skating).
The first broadcast of this third show in Niigata is planned on June 27th on a Niigata local TV channel. I hope there will be legal videos afterwards, of course there will be "wild" ones (of not well known, legal or illegal status), and some TV News extracts but who knows which skates they will choose.
There have been TV cameras on Day 2, but no broadcast is planned yet, and many think Day 1 may be lost because only one camera was spotted.
And I lost the only live footage I had of Deniss' and a few others, coming backstage, but for those who have Instagram, it should be on Anastasiia Arkhipova's Instagram: @nastya_arhipova.
And here is a short video saved from her instastory: https://twitter.com/MC33198519/status/1670406260452147202for those who have Instagram, it should be on Anastasiia Arkhipova's Instagram: @nastya_arhipova.
About the complaining part - these are the shows in Japan, where the situation is still very different for the sport I guess. So they will still do well even with the "silence". Maybe this will change when other things change.I truly don't understand the silence around these shows in general. Indeed, on Friday there were some seats unsold in section A (the highest, and in Niigata they don't have a good reputation because of the too low slope which prevents from seeing most of the rink when there's someone not so small ahead), but on Saturday and Sunday it was sold out, without discount. I was rather speaking of TV ratings. We have a say in French, telling (as an ironsmith) to hit the iron while it's hot.About the complaining part - these are the shows in Japan, where the situation is still very different for the sport I guess. It's really specific to this stop in Niigata, and another Fantasy on Ice tradition was broken, that of the media day. Let's hope for a better visibility in Kobe! I believe tickets are all sold? But at least, Day 3 in Kobe will be broadcast live (and an undetermined day from Kobe, on July 3d):
There was indeed a piece of news, but they chose to show and interview Japanese skaters, and I didn't spot Deniss Vasiljevs in what they broadcast of the group numbers, though I may be wrong. I'm afraid that we'll have to wait a bit more to have something of his skates. The saying is the same in German (amongst others with similar meaning).
Yeah, maybe there's an article somewhere after the shows explaining a bit and some knowledgeable Japanese fan will bring it to our attention. But maybe that's not a big deal there and if there's no discussion, I think we won't know any reasons.

And we should see his programmes in a couple of days already!Deniss has kept this fan page busy this off season. Between his haircut and his short program to Hallelujah. Its been great.![]()
