Deniss Vasiljevs

Well, if you mean a clip, then any time about anything! At least Deniss can make any situation funny.
Does anybody know something about Stephane's cat Vonka? Is she still in Champery?

So does this means he's practicing at the Cricket club?

I'm just surprised haha, and wondering what was the motivation behind it? Learning new skills...? Specifically jumping maybe?
Didn't he say he wanted to try out 4S iirc? Who else to learn from other than Javi whose 4S is an inspiration even for current World Champion  (I'm kidding of course :p)

In the Sporta Studija video, the one about Deniss's training, it said he was going to go to a training camp in Canada.

That's right, I forgot about it. Hope we will get more photos in that case. And yes, I'd like to know how his quads are coming along...

That's true! I don't think he went to Canada for entertainment. It's not like him! He needs to fix his jumps. There were still problems with A3 and he has been rather reserved when talking about quads. Stephane is a perfect coach but not sure he is the best to teach the jumps.

The problem is not about what Stephane can do. Of course, he can jump and he does! But jumping and teaching sometimes is different stuff. So it's just good that Deniss gonna train with someone else and get some specific tips from some other profesionals.

Well, we don't really know that Stephane can't teach quads, either. He just hasn't had any high level skater before who was attempting them. He's worked with Mishin before so I think he understands good technique.

Is Koshiro part of the team now? And Diana? She didn't go to Canada, but maybe she is still in Champery.

I agree. Deniss has been training quads in those recent clips. Also didn't he land a quad toe at a show a few months ago?

Is Koshiro part of the team now?

I wonder. By the time Camp 3S is over he will have been there for 4 months and he even followed them to Canada! He might as well have moved in

The fact that Stephane wasn't a particularly strong quad jumper is quite irrelevant. Neither was Brian Orser, who coaches Fernandez and Hanyu, nor Rafael Arutunyan, who coaches Nathan Chen

I mailed Deniss' birthday card today. Just a reminder the date is Aug. 9th. Don't know if anyone is checking the postal box, but I allowed about 3-1/2 weeks for it to get there from the U.S. Now that I think of it, he'll probably be in Switzerland!😬

Did you send it to the skating school in Champery? I am pretty sure he will be there on his birthday. (or at least, much more possibility than back home in Daugavpils). I was discouraged because my message the fan club leader collected back in May never arrived, but I might have a better chance to Switzerland... it's physically much closer and at least everything at the Swiss end works all efficiently and punctually :hap85:

Oh dang, I should have asked! I sent it to Latvia. I know for sure he received my other card because I saw him holding it. That was so fun! Well, I hope he gets it eventually. It's one of those sound cards.

Actually I would think some others will send the birthday card to the Daugavpils address as well. I am sure the ever awesome Jelena of the fan club will see to it to forward them to Switzerland! :agree:
In the mean time I should hurry up and prepare the Christmas card and send it as soon as I can... you never know how long it takes to arrive there :laugh:
