A big wave to all of you from Franfurt Airport... Oh, damn I am sooo excited!!
Tmr morning I will hopefully be able to provide you with some practice reports ☺️☺️
 
Other than the UR call on the 3A, it was absolutely fantastic! I'm soooo pleased to see him looking so relaxed and joyous again. Maybe going for the quad isn't worth it for him at this point in time. Look at Jason...now, there is no reason why Deniss couldn't achieve a score like that with some polishing and fine-tuning. Of course, he doesn't have the benefit of a major fed or Orser's name, but I think he is no less talented. Loved the "coach-cam" shots with Stephane too. :laugh:

They were both so uptight since yesterday that I was worried what happened. Seriously, even imagined the most absurdal causes, like calls from Latvian Fed with a message "Mr Lambiel, we've seen no progress so we are waiting for you both at Nationals. We need to talk. Oh, you have a show in Japan? Cancel it."
(And to be honest, I was scared to death that it could be this you-know-what starting with i...)

Deniss' SP is one of the best programs this year and suits him very well. And it's such a pleasure to see him performing almost flawless. UR was costly however. And what happens to his StSq level this season?

I'm feeling dumb now...what starts with "i"?

I don't know much about the Latvian fed, but it seems like they have a good relationship with Stephane and hopefully understand that it's normal for all skaters to struggle from time to time. Look at the other talented young men who were/are his peers - apart from Nathan and Shoma, are the others doing so much better right now? Deniss is already the best thing that ever happened to Latvian skating. I don't see any reason for them to interfere. Wait, was that the "I" word? :laugh:

I probably should take more English lessons to write exactly what I think :drama:. I changed a little bit original post and hope it sounds more compatible with my state of mind before Deniss' SP :laugh:.
And this "i" is an ugly beast haunting skaters, including the best one (recently Yuzuru, for instance). Please don't make me write the word in this thread. Believe it stays "i-free" ;).
 
I also had to think hard about what the "i" word was but I eventually figured it out. *knocks wood*

I can't watch today's competition live but maybe that's for the best, as I'd be nervous. Good luck Deniss!
