I searched and didn't find a thread on this ... anyone have a review or opinion on this show? Particularly regarding suitability for whole families (that is, will the adults be able to stay awake).

Thanks in advance!

All the reviews I've seen on it have come from http://www.passporterboards.com you might try there, it's a Disney/Family site... so they're more likely to go to something like this :)

The only disney show I saw I was bored to tears (I was almost 4)... until the guest star came out... but I'm not the norm for kids

^ That's what I'm afraid of, Toni, but I'm just wanting to see some live skating, and it's coming near me for multiple shows. Still, skaters in character costumes is a bit hard to get excited about. I've heard in the past good things about Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, when they basically just did the musical on ice -- that I wouldn't mind seeing. But a revue of Disney characters is considerably less appealing.

Like I said, I'm not the norm for kids. But the show I went to in the 80s was a revue with the Fab 5 (Mickey and the gang) and I honestly don't remember anything about it save for a flashlight that I got (it was blue and it was Mickey Mouse) and Scott Hamilton.

Of families with young children I haven't seen people come away disappointed, but then they aren't figure skating 'elitests' or anything like that. They are Disney 'elitests'. It seems as long as the kids enjoy it, the parents do too.

Disney productions - this is coming from a Disney fanatic - are not chinsy. They are well put on. I believe Sarah Kawahara is now the main Disney Show choreographer, so you will be getting your monies worth, in my mind.
