Ekaterina Kurakova

Katia is taking part in the Cup of Oświęcim (South Poland Championships). Here is today's SP protocol and YT video (of poor quality, I'm afraid...):
She jumped 3F+3Lo and however it's stated UR, I love her commitment to upgrade her content.

Edit: FS (new dress, b&w, what suits very well) https://youtu.be/BkINhn_qAlc?t=26275

She always makes me think of a strawberry in this polka-dotted dress! In first place after the SP, but not thrilled with herself in the KnC, if her expression is anything to go by - I suppose it's the slip on the loop landing. Good luck to her in the FP tomorrow!

Yeah, I always really enjoy watching her skating. She's just so musical, graceful and charming on the ice. A real ray of sunshine, as someone said rightly. But I must say this time I have been also impressed with the Covid-conscious awards ceremony. Contactless "help-yourself" tray with medals carried by a guy wearing disposable gloves (not to mention the mask) has been really something else  Kudos to Polish Fed (or whoever organized this!)!

Congratulations to Katia on her third consecutive Polish national champion title. She was stunning, an indisputable highlight of the 4N championships.
I'm happy that Axel Torun, her home rink, has been doing well lately and gathers a number of the best Polish skaters and coaches. Hope that this environment helps Katia in her development when she cannot train in TCC.

Katia has posted on instagram about the championships.

Yesterday Katia presented her new SP:

Here with her coach in Torun, Mariusz Siudek (and Kornel Witkowski, men champion, both sr and jr):
