Zhenya will participate in the next stage of RGP.

Zhenya's first competition this season happened so late, but he did well, won silver. As I understand it, he returned to the ice about a month before that RGP stage. I'm amazed how he managed to prepare like that. Three good 3As per two programs. The clean 4S in short program, and another one in the free with serious mistakes. He changed his salchow entry AGAIN. Now it looks like a toe loop. 4Ts were good, the one in the SP seems to be accidental. Obviously he hasn't fully recovered yet. Non-jump elements could be better, but there's time before Nats to finalise it. 'Difficult exit' is really nice, I was expecting the worst. Why did they ditch the leg kick? It was cool.

It's nice to see the crowd supporting Zhenya like that. He has some kind of spark. Just like Liza. I joked in the competition thread that Zhenya is rocking there instead of Liza as she has lyrical FS. By the way, she even posted IG story with his choreo sequence.

We finally got two clean programs in one competition with five quads in total! Almost everything was flawless. 292.99 is the highest total score in the series.

Jumping competition is already this weekend. Zhenya is restoring his 4Lo for it.
