Her short program this year really is a masterpiece! I'm glad it seems to be getting the recognition it deserves (i.e. Stephane Lambiel and Johnny Weir complimenting it)

I don't see how my post was anti-Medvedeva or anti-Russia.

I'm sure that was more about your previous posts, not much about this one. It seems pretty obvious to me, that when you call a hardworking girl-skater a "spoiled kid", her fans would consider you an anti from that point.
Also, fan fest is supposed to be a place where people who like a particular skater can discuss them in a positive way. There is a lot of other threads for criticizing.
Though I liked The Leftovers program better, if her team decides Anna Karenina is the best choice then I trust them. The program seems a bit rushed and incomplete (understandable since it wasn't meant to be a competitive program), but if Stephane is going to help her with it I can't wait to see how the program will grow for COR.
And I also watched the LP, nice to see her challenging herself with the spread eagle entrance into the 2A, we know the axel is not one of her favorite jumps so great of her to still seek how to reduce her weaknesses :yes:

I hope she will do her old FP again, even if only in an ex. I quite liked it actually, though Anna Karenina is much more familiar to people around the world. It's also more different from her other programs and shows more variety.

Hiya!
Just decided to check out what's everyone thinking about the change of FP.
I go with the majority and think it's the strategic decision and great program for Olympics.
Although I still think that 'leftovers' have lots of potential and I like the message behind it. But I agree that music cuts in the middle didn't have many accents therefore, AK is a better choice.
Also, usually in Olympics program with strong character behind is better for a broader audience. Plus AK has a national context which is again great for Olympics. Also, it contrasts with SP so both programs now have a different style as many of you mentioned already.
Can't wait to Rostelekom as I am very intrigued, will be any changes in layout and overall choreography....?

BTW. What do you think about dress and if want a new one in what style?
I personally want a new in similar style and color but which looks more expensive say so....All Bordo aka Cherry shades suits her very well!
Also for some reason, I want a choker, think it would suits her and make it unusual....

Although I'll be forever mourning the beautiful Leftovers dress, I also think burgundy suits her, and I hope the definitive AK dress will be red\burgundy! Can't wait for Rostelecom!

Yes, I think that the deep, red wine color is gorgeous on her. It fits both her skin tone and her hair so though I expect the dress for the FS to be more elaborate I hope they keep the color too.

They ask Eteri if Zhenya is untouchable this season and Eteri disagrees and replies:"Last season many female skaters skated clean programs. Words about Zhenya being miles away from others do not match up with reality. Zhenya keeps working. How much does she work to maintain her level? I don't know any other skater nowadays that work as much as she does."
So basically I really love her attitude. She knows that the competition is tough and strong and she keeps Zhenya motivated for hard work.

All: I was listening to the latest episode of The Skating Lesson and they discussed this. Although it's official that she's changing her program, they did speculate that perhaps she'll skate AnnaK for one FS and then keep The Leftovers for the other. So is it at all possible she would do one routine for team and one for ladies' singles? If so, that's never before been attempted in the same Olympics and I for one would LOVE to see her knock both out of the park!
