Evgenia Medvedeva

The preview is basically all I ever wanted from this program. And we've been promised the full thing in a few hours!

SO hyped! A bit worried about the solo 3Lz for the edge issue... so stoked that 2A is much improved and the combo at the end is ballsy!!!

If anybody call pull off the second half combo it's her, with her consistency so i am not surprised. I don't know if the lutz will be much of an issue. We've seen the protocols of the JGP so far, judges seem to be too drunk or blind to see edges & rotations.

Someone said it was not Tracy. I think its their spin specialist but I forgot her name. I’m getting quite emotional because her and Yuzu were both badly injured last season and now they’re having their comebacks [emoji24] (wish that were the same case for Sui/Han [emoji24]).
I think Zhenya said she was fine though in a much earlier interview. She's healed.

I think this is what Zhenya has been aiming for with the change of coaches - improving her technique from A to Z, not only the lutz but all other jumps too. With the new system it's not enough to just have difficult jumps/combinations but you also to have able to execute them with very good quality. I don't know how reliable Vaitchekovskaya's expertise is, but if Med really has improved her 2A only in two months, whereas she's been struggling with it from her early junior years, it shows that team Tutberidze has already given her the maximum for their methods and she would have no chance to correct such things there.

At least nobody can come after her right now for not trying to fix her flaws :coffee:

All i've ever wanted for her was to see her get out of the box she was put in by her former coaching team to finally realize her true potential and it seems that's exactly what's happening. I might be getting too excited for just a 17seconds preview but it already looks soooo good!

I am so hyped to see all of her jumps. Excited to see her new Axel. Evgenia always hated doing Axels. Looking forward to see if she is struggeling less with them :) also happy to see her doing a Lutz. I am so pumped for this new season. Also I want to know what her EX will be. 😍🤣

Brian is known not only for his own 3A, but as a fixer of axels.

David Wilson reports that Brian has been brought in for a session when a lower level skater can't get his/her 2A. And then very quickly identifies the problem, asks for a small technical adjustment and it works.

Not surprising that they started with that if it's been dogging her all this time.

Must be a great confidence booster for Zhenya.

Ahhh I wonder if Yuzu helped with axel (would be a dream aha)? Based on how he acts in shows, he seems to like helping others out

Wow that SP looks fantastic! So much energy and style shown by Zhenya! I hope we can see a full video soon! [emoji44][emoji106]

That spin looks fantastic! She looks even more limber! Often with back issues hamstrings, hips and glutes are very tight and can cause back pain. If that was the culprit, she looks great!

Edge issues didn't stop Kaetlyn Osmond from putting this jump in short program not to mention Shoma Uno and his plans for 4Lze. I think she might benefit from putting lutz in short program not only point wise. It wasn't her best or favourite jump so they avoided it but it isn't the right way.

Amazing that he can fix Axels so fast. Yes it must be a great relieve for her. She always looked stressed when doing Axels in my opinion. It will probably take a burden from her. I am happy that they work on everything with her and not just one thing at a time. It will also probably benefit her healt if she is less struggeling with certain jumps so there is a smaller risk for injury.

I feel like you can even now see the joy and freeness in her movements just from the clip! I was worried that changing coaches could take a long time adjustment but I'm so glad things are going so well. :yahoo:

Look on the TCC thread from a few days ago to see the evolution of Yuzuru's 3A since last season and comparisons with Brian's own 3As.

Less easy to find comparisons, but Javier's 3Lz got less and less dodgy over the last season. We can expect improvement bit by bit on that one.

Over time, I'm looking to see Zhenya with bigger jumps, more speed, and better edges.

I also remember that Brian’s goal was to improve her physical condition & get her stronger. It looks like that’s been happening.

I'm crying, I love it so much and her axel (and lutz) have gotten so much better, she looks incredible

also liking how they upgraded to three higher spins in the short as opposed to having the layback

THANK YOU for posting this! I didn't expect us to get a video of her SP so I would've missed it if you hadn't linked it here haha. She looks fantastic!! It's a complete 360 style-wise; I knew she was badass but it takes some serious courage to try something completely new. Love how she just keeps surprising me this year
