Exactly. As much as it would be incredible to see a 4s, I rather her work on everything else first. Build good foundations and good jumps.

Quads are so dangerous, there is a reason only few ladies are even attempting them. I have absolute faith in Zhenya and she‘s training with one who is a true master of quads - Yuzuru - and Brian and I‘m sure should she attempt to train one, Yuzu‘s jump coach would help her, too. But the thing is... We saw Sasha struggle with her quads so much, we see her and Anna take such hard falls... and they‘re young girls, fearless and not afraid to get injured. Zhenya is older, she already had an injury that could have ended her career and she still struggles with her back. I don‘t want you to think I don‘t believe in her - I do, of course I do - but I just don‘t know whether her body could survive the strain quads would put on it. Her mind could, I‘m absolutely sure of that, she has the determination and the bravery to do it. But... I don‘t know, I‘m just worried. I want her to be healthy. But Zhenya and Brian will know what to do, they‘ll take care and handle this in a responsible way. For now we only have to think about this season, it‘s what most important at the moment.
 
Yes! I hope her triples and axel become nearly perfect or at least enough to get consistent high GOE so I think working on that and the foundations seems to be the main goal of this season. Sure, it my result in some drawbacks but I’m confident that the payoff will be much greater later than had she not gone through this process. Another plus is she trains with Yuzuru who is the god of quad salchows and that seems to be the one jump we could realistically hope for sometime in the future so Orser and his team clearly know the right way to approach this jump.

All of team Orser seem to have good axels and good quad salchows (those who can do it of course). I mean, we’ve already seen what he’s done with Evgenia’s axel.

I think the one of the reasons Yuzuru went to Brian is because he saw how Javi already progressed under him and his quad salchow (if I’m wrong, sorry I just heard this somewhere).

I think if there is anyone who can one day take Evgenia to do a quad salchow, it’s Brian. But I agree that I don’t want her to do it if it costs her health. Hopefully we will see loop combos soon if her back allows such :)

This is such a great idea. The messages are heartwarming. I hope through this, Evgenia knows that many, many people support her.

I am actually going last minute style - as I have not yet seen Evgenia live, I am pretty curious how will be my perception seeing her skating in person:)

That's very exciting. From experience, she is quite mesmerizing in person. :love:
 
I still am not sure if I am going to go to GPFinal. I really want to see her and I think this is a special year because it's the last year before quads enter the scene. I could do it in a day. Leave early Saturday, fly in for the free skate and leave later that night..so tempting.

You should do it. You will regret it if you don't. :)
 
I sent a Starbucks gift card and birthday wishes via UPS and I just tracked it and is was signed for at the reception desk of TCC by a Jennifer. Hopefully Zhenya gets it. :pray:
