Nah. Orser been thru this kinda thing before.
With Adam Rippon, with Nam Nguyen after his growth spurt. Though we know it ended with them leaving Orser, its different with Evgenia.
Experience wise, this is 1st time they have taken a Russian skater, rather a non Russian coach have taken a Russian skater.
Surprisingly, the other new student Jason Brown is doing well so fast after the bad skate at Skate Canada. Circumstances are different of course but Jason knows how to handle it thus far.
Evgenia does well in practices, so its a mental thing.
I actually think Evgenia and Jason have been dealing with similar issues this season, but on a slightly different schedule. Jason struggled badly with his jumps and his confidence at his first two comps this season and then had a breakthrough. I think Zhenya is caught between her old and new techniques, and when she hesitates or doubts herself before jumping, she falls or messes up. I have faith that with a little more time, the new technique will become second nature and she will soar again. It clearly meant the world to her today to get so much support from her fans, and I hope that support will help carry her through the FS.
