We know for sure that she won‘t be at Euros because she will go back exactly when the competition starts. The team is Zagitova, Konstantinova and Samodurova.

Worlds team isn‘t certain yet. There were rumours that there will be a national competition where Tuktamysheva and Zhenya will be. If they do well, they could be on the Worlds team. However, if the Euros girls all do well, too, it could happen that only Tuktamysheva will make the team. We don‘t know anything yet, though, only that the federation apparently plans to replace at least one Euros girl. (Mishin’s recently said something like this in his interview)

On Thursday (19.00, Moscow time), before the football match CSKA-Bavaria, Evgenia will be signing autographs along with russian legendary football player Sergej Ignashevich. She really is like a CSKA representative.

I'm glad that she's being appreciated as the heavily-titled figure skater that she is! I just want her to be part of a club where she feels happy, has guaranteed ice time when she's in Russia and where Brian is also welcome.

At this point I'm 90% sure that she will be officially representing CSKA next season. Fingers crossed!

I went down a memory lane tonight and watched a 2-year-old programme about Zhenya with a footage about her and an interview on the day of her 17-th birthday. Gosh, time flies, how much she's changed and yet she's still the same. And she also talked about quads, said she had tried it with assistance a couple of times at the end of 2015-2016 season, and that was it.

I agree with this. I liked OCS, but I thought that it definitely was not the right SP for Zhenya to be realistically be competitive at top tier on top of everything else. It takes a certain kind of skater to really sell an OCS kind of program, and I don't think Zhenya currently is that kind of skater. I felt it was closer to what maybe a gala could be or something but it just didn't feel right.
yep, i agree. I think important is also her opinion over the season about OCS.
“First of all, I was a little scared,” Medvedeva admitted.

“It’s totally another image for me. I didn’t do something like this ever, but after a few lessons with movements and just to feel the image – we just didn’t think about the program – like, ‘Let’s try.'" She said, adding, "I really enjoyed those movements, I really started to feel the image.”

After France she was sceptical about OCS and it´s always hard to skate to a program if you do not believe in it 100%.

" And as for the short program, this music was suggested by David [Wilson] and Sandra Bezic. I wanted to experiment, but I didn’t expect the experiments to be so global. The working process was a lot of fun, but this image is so unusual for me, I mean really."

In conclusion, I think it was a mistake to go with OCS in the season. The mistake was ofc made mostly by her team(Wilson+Bezic and Brian) but also by herself.

Do not get me wrong, I´m big supporter of the coaching change. It happens sometimes that mistakes are made after a coaching change.

I'm glad to hear she's thinking of keeping Tosca as an SP, it's lovely and it has so much potential. As much as I like the Libertango, I do think a new FS that compliments Tosca would be good.

Regarding OSC, Wilson-Bezic had good intentions with it and knew Zhenya wanted to break from what she had done so far but it was obviously too much too soon and Zhenya was still learning how to become more of an independent skater and was still probably learning how to say no and more than likely she was eager to take a big step. It's a good learning experience for all involved and it's better to get that lesson out the way now so they can a more successful partnership, or maybe lack there of if Wilson and Zhenya decide they're not as compatible as they wanted to be.

On a side note, it's still tickles me that she likes ASMR and I keep wondering who her favorite asmr youtubers are.

Another treat for us and Alina fans today. The second part of that ad for the Madoka mobage featuring both girls is here! I know they were shot separately, but it's still nice to see the two of them on the ice together. They are indeed madical girls <3
