Evgenia Medvedeva

I really can't decide what she should do. She probably has her living arrangements in Japan through the middle of June. Moscow is a hot spot, but I think her grandmother has a summer home in the country. And I don't know if she can return to Canada, I don't know what their travel restrictions are for non citizens.

I think Canada is the best place for her.

Canada is only allowing permanent residence and citizens at the moment. I don’t think she’ll be able to retune until at least June.

Canada’s first wave seems to be coming to an end in most provinces and there is discussion about re-opening things. Likely we won’t see anything change until early June or later.

Since this wasn't posted already, Zhenya put up an adorable tiktok yesterday: https://www.tiktok.com/@evgeniamedvedeva99/video/6816193304556784901

"The song that Medo-chan sings on Tik Tok is "Hakujitsu" by Japanese band group King Gnu! (I will post a YouTube link) It has been very popular here in Japan
Medo says, "Sometimes, we unknowingly hurt people" which is saying at the beginning of lyrics."

Japanese fans say that Zhenya's Japanese pronounciation is beautiful

It seems she is stuck there, and with the situation in Russia worsening by the day, she'd best stay put for a couple more weeks. For it might very well be, TCC opens before the rinks in Moscow reopen.

Is Zhenya still in Japan or did she fly back to Canada?

As I posted on the Sailor Moon thread, and others have posted in various places:

I doubt if she could go back to Toronto. As I understand it, Canada has closed its borders to everyone except citizens, permanent residents, and "essential workers" from the US (like long-haul truckers delivering avocados, auto parts, and N95 masks).

The border restrictions were originally for 30 days, but have been extended for another 30 days.
