Well, one thing these galas showed: She belongs on the ice. Her presence‘s unmatched - no matter with which coach she‘s skating or which choreography she gets. It‘s something you can‘t teach. I still hope she manages to return to competition but no matter what, she‘ll do very, very well in shows.
The pantomiming was awesome! It really set her apart from everyone else, it felt like sitting in a theatre and watching the story unfold. I do understand why they got rid of it with Orser, it was a little “right on the nose“ and they probably wanted something more subtle. I wouldn‘t mind if she returned to it, though, I‘m sure they‘d adapt it to her current performing abilities.
My problem was - and still is - more with the sound effects. The voice overs, imo, ruined Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close a bit, the story would have worked without it. And there‘s others, too - that “come back“ in her OG SP etc. The only one where I found it to really work as intended was Anna Karenina with the train sounds. But that was a Daniil program, not Averbukh.
Something to remember, however: Her gala‘s from TeamTut but has no pantomime. So, they‘re capable of creating good programs for her without it.
As for next season: At this point, I don‘t care much about choreography. As long as she manages to compete, I‘m fine with whatever. I‘d prefer an Averbukh FS (Alegria‘s great but is it really a program for an Olympic season?) but I‘d even take a Daniil one. Just.. let her be able to skate.
The pantomiming was more Team Tut's style and not Aver's. Even Zhenya's programs with Daniil and Zhulin during thst time had pantomiming and other programs Aver did for other skaters never included pantomiming.

Oh, I‘m so sorry to disappoint you, it‘s only fan art.I will be getting Netflix now. This is so awesome.
But I will be waiting patiently for something like this. After all, Evgenia was name dropped in a Netflix series already (queer eye, don‘t remember which episode, though)
