Why put yourself through hell when you can make more money for doing commercials and TV shows with less stress on the mind and body?

And the motivation to continue to compete starts waning the further the days and months pass.

Zagitova seems to have figured that out as well. Don’t think she has any desire to return, especially since she got a plum job with channel one and a lot of open revenue streams.

I think Evgenia is still motivated. She's training at Sambo 70. I hope to see her at Russian cup final. I definitely think she will be ready by the fall.

Zhenya wants to continue competing and still has motivation to return. She has adressed that several times the past few weeks. And a video shoot filmed in the evening is hardly taking too much training time away, especially since she is still recovering and gradually returning to full time training and therefore can make the time currently. Akatieva, Tuktamysheva, Kostornaia etc. also had time to shoot interviews, commercials, photo shoots despite being full time athletes. Athletes are not on the ice 24 hours a day.

Honestly, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. She will do whatever she wants and doesn’t need anyone to make decisions for her.

Would love to see her return. Would love to see all the Russian ladies return healthy. To continue to push everyone to be better.

We need more Russian rivalries since it looks like the only competition outside of Russia will come from one, possibly two, skaters from Japan. And that’s it.

I don't think this channel had anything to do with the RCF, doesn't have to mean anything that they have the word cup in it. Would hardly make sense to create an instagram account for one competition.
