Scott's return to the ice always tears me up... as does G&G Rodin piece, and Scott's farewell to SOI...

Yes and no... I like that it's based on points being added up and not placement holdings... but I think it makes it less creative = for the moment. I think once skaters and coaches and choreographers get used to it, they can work it to their advantages

oooooo very hard to choose! and discoduck will hate me for it... but Evan Lysacek holds that title (For me) right now...

There are a few... but I don't want to get into that

Plushenko. A great technical skater- but I find him intensely irritating.

I often get a bit teary during a great or moving performance. The Siudeks at Euros for example.

Tracey Wilson. Debbie Wilkes. I have an affection for Dick Button, even if he's not the greatest commentator.

Carmen. Any classical pice that starts out classical and changes to the techno version half way through (I don't mind one or the other alone, though). Generic operatic style dance music (matched with floaty generic costumes and generic Fds)

Marie-France Dubreuil. But she'd look great in anything.

11. Worst costumes/hairstyle?

Grebenkina/Azrojan from Armenia. Just hideous costumes this year.

12. Do you like the new judging system?

Yes. I like that you know how the marks were arrived at and how the technical elements were scored.

13. Who is the hottest female/male skater?

Brian Joubert. John Zimmerman.

14. Honestly, which skater's personality do you dislike the most?

I don't know any of them. But Plushenko annoys me.

15. One final question, can YOU skate?

I can move on the ice with skates on my feet (forwards and backwards.) I skated on ponds as a kid (and the Rideau canal in my student days). But I've never taken a lesson. And I don't like indoor rinks.

It sounds more fair because sometimes there are surprises as to who wins in the end, but I get the impression that the judging panel are still insecure when giving the points.

Brian Joubert and Korpi.

Some Russian dance skaters when they don't get the gold medal.

Irina Slutskaya’s back in 2003. Shizuka and Miki Ando fall in that category too.

It sounds fair unless you have to skate under it.

Alexander Abt! Even though he won Nationals he's still an underdog to me.

JERRY GOLDSMITH. My favorite film composer, but extremely difficult to do justice tto in skating. Only S&Z's Mulan and Todd's First Knight and 13th Warrior were any good. Also I am a little annoyed when someone skates to Hans Zimmer. Pick a REAL composer people!

Hmmm I might say Carolina for ladies, Plushenko for the men... also Johnny!

Hmmmm I don't know about that one.

Yeah in some ways.

Again I'd say Carolina, Zhenya Plushenko and Johnny.

I'm not sure... In some ways Johnny's persona irks me. But I wouldn't say I dislike him: ( I am a proud Angel LOL. I don't know who I'd say for that one.

There's no doubt of it. It's Sarah Meier. She's not only my favourite skater but also my favourite sportler of all time. Though, I also love the skating of Shizuka Arakawa, Susanna Pöykiö, Laura Lepistö, Alissa Czisny, Amanda Nylander, Tugba Karademir, Jamal Othman, Daisuke Takahashi, Johnny Weir, Kristoffer Berntsson.......etc.

2. Who is your least favorite skater?

Hmm. Difficult to say, maybe Emily Hughes, Joannie Rochette, Carolina Kostner, Elene Gedevanishvili and Tomas Verner.

3. Honestly, have you ever cried during a special skating moment?

Yes, the most recent moments were at last Euros and at last Worlds. I'm allways in tears (in a positive way) when watching Meier's Euro LP and Pöykiö's Worlds LP. Those two performances really touched my heart in some deeper way.

4. Favorite Skating move?

Well, Arakawa's Ina Bauer and Meier's layback spin came into my mind.

5. Honestly, who was FIRST favorite skater [maybe going back when you were little]?

Susanna Pöykiö.

6. Favorite program for 06/07 season?

The LPs of Meier, Pöykiö, Othman,Takahashi and Berntsson. The SPs of Alexandra Ievleva, Meier, Lepistö, Arina Martinova, Berntsson and Takahashi.

7. Favorite TV commentator?

I don't know, maybe the Eurosport guys and the Finnish commentators.

8. Favorite UNDERDOG skater [never won a major title]?

At the moment I would say Lepistö, Ievleva, Martinova, Nylander (I hope she does a comeback next season), Karademir and Ari-Pekka Nurmenkari. (I'm not counting Meier, Pöykiö etc. for underdogs.)

9. Most annoying music skaters choose?

I dont know, maybe the music which has been used too many times, fo example Carmen and Romeo and Juliet.

10. Which skater has the best costumes/hairstyle?

Sarah Meier, Susanna Pöykiö and Yukari Nakano. The honourable mention goes to Alissa Czisny. IMHO, especially the first three ladies really have something I would call as innate/true sense of style. They don't only have beautiful costumes, hairstyle etc. but they also really look good on their costumes which usually fit well together with their style and their music. They know how to carry the costumes and have bodies for them.

11. Worst costumes/hairstyle?

Please, don't beat me but, IMHO, Rochette and Kostner should fire their costume designors immediately. That's just my opinion.

12. Do you like the new judging system?

It's ok.

Kevin van der Perren and Stephane Lambiel.

14. Honestly, which skater's personality do you dislike the most?

I don't know the skaters personnaly, so I can't answer to this question. I'm sure most skaters are nice people.

It depends how do you define the word skate. I'm Scandinavian and it was compulsory to skate during the sport classes at school (we skated on natural ice) but have I done figure skating? No, I haven't. Never.

Mira Leung kinda gives me creeps. I also dislike Irina and I don't get Kwan(I don't hate her, I just don't understand the love for her...).

When Plushenko was messing up his free skate in some Euros... Maybe 2004 or 2005?

In general I love good 2axels and laybacks. Zhang's pearl, Lambiel's spins, Sasha's spirals...

Plushenko ( he was totally charming when I saw in tv for the first time). Other skaters that had an impact in me coming a skating fan are Shen and Zhao with their Mulan program (I could not understand they didn't win and I still don't), Sarah Hughes Olympic free skate and Sasha Cohen.

Mao's SP, Kostner's SP and LP, Pöykiö's LP, Lambiel's LP, Yuna's LP...

I can't stand Bolero: Techno sould not have nothing to do with skating.

Susanna Pöykiö and Kiira Korpi always have really beautiful hair and make up, I have liked some of their costumes too. Sasha Cohen is great in this category too, and Kostner has had some cool costumes too.

Russian skaters, Sebestyen and all skaters with no make up att all. Joubert.

Better than the old.
