Finlandia Trophy 04 -06.10. 2013

Nice programm and music choice, it really suits Akiko... Some wobbles too, but beyond that it was great to watch :)

Drat. Akiko was doing a magical job except for those 2 costly jump mistakes. I just love her skating even though I usually dislike POTO music. Pretty dress.

Akiko SUZUKI (JPN)

Solid skate, but the pops will settle her on silver, I think. Is she trying to repeat both 3F, 3Lo and 3S?

Score: 53.33+62.64=115.97, 180.54 and into 2nd

I watched Mirai's SP and replayed her combo several times, the 3F appear fully rotated to me. The second jump at least had poor landing edge, leaning to much forward, but does not appear << to me either. She had a pretty good skate. I think the judges were hush on her. Hope she skates better in LP and get fair treatment.

:scowl: Why Akiko.

But for me she has the best dress this season so far...
Yuna Kim and Kostner still to come. Hope Mao changes her Rach II dress during the season.

Did Akiko seem to be in pain in the K&C or am I imagining things? I hope I'm wrong. She is such a beautiful skater. I love her elegance and musicality.

And the only reason why the Phantom called Christine his Angel of Music is that he never saw Akiko Suzuki skate

But it's blue! She needs to keep it

I believe she was thinking on the go when doubled the second flip, or she had plan b and plan c. Smart girl. One of the 1Lo and 3S should be for 2A.

Akiko's programs just fly by, leaving me wanting more. Just like Michelle's used to. I don't get that feeling with the rest of what I've seen today.

Weird music cuts for Olsson's program. I think the strong parts of the music overpower her skating, but the middle softer part was lovely. She lands a little forward and stiff-legged on some of her jumps. Not bad though, and I think she has a true lutz. Is she just up from juniors or has she been in seniors for some time?
