Gracie Gold

Gracie is looking good. I hope we'll get more news on her soon after Worlds -- training, programs, etc. And we HAVE to get sabinfire over there!

There was a short article in the Japan Times today on Marin Honda being in Canton to work with Marina. I was hoping there would be something about Gracie, but there was only a quick sentence about how Marin had posted photos on her Instagram of the Arctic skaters.

if Sabinfire doesn't resurface soon I may have to fly to Michigan to get the report myself.

^^^And it's ONLY about a 4-1/2 hour drive from me, but I can't risk it in the winter. sabinfire, where are you?! MIA, off the grid, etc.

Beautiful avatar...I think it's time to send the posse out looking for sabinfire.

Tomorrow - Gracie Gold and Joshua Farris will be special guests for Aspen FSC's "Beauty and the Beast on Ice" shows. There will be shows at 2:30pm and 6:00pm.

I don't see what roles that Gracie and Joshua will be playing, but I'm thinking it's probably small/brief roles.

This is such a cool opportunity considering that they will be performing with Paul Wylie! Apparently, Wylie has been performing in this event for several years now. The show is a fundraiser for The National Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

:cool2:

Two of my favorites, what a cool opportunity. I wonder if any videos will hit youtube.

I've been wanting to say somewhere that the best thing I've heard Gracie say about engaging Marina as her coach is that she's happy there. That's such good news!

Also, I listened to Haven & Brandon's worlds teleconference today. They both said that the thing Marina is really good at is boosting their confidence, helping them identify what's good about their skating and bring it out, make it more visible.

I am an unabashed believer in helping people see what's good about their talent and skill, and thus encouraging them to do more of it. I really think Gracie will thrive with Marina.

So saw some video clips of Gracie posted on Ashley Cains Instagram. Gracie at a meet and great, Gracie with tons of Splenda, and Gracie on top of a statue. All very silly relaxed and happy.

Has worlds been dead for any other Gracie fans? I am completely missing her this season, I'm out of it without her. She is the skater that got be back into skating, and I love her skating so much. I feel like her absence was felt this week.

That is exactly what Gracie needs right now too, someone who will help her focus on the good and not the bad. While thinking about her coaching choices I really began to feel Marina would be the best so I am happy she is there now and she has the ability to work with Alex on jumps too. I think that everything happens for a reason and that next season will be much kinder to her.

Did anyone read the article on Misha Ge retiring? There was a mention of he was heading to the states to choreograph a program for Karen Chen and work with Gracie. Looking for the smallest rid bit of news. Missed watching her. Though I was really excited to see Karen step up her game.

I missed Gracie at worlds so much! It hit me quite hard the sad irony of her promotional posters for John Wilson being at Hartwall, while she wasn't:cry:

I missed Gracie too at Worlds and now she won't be at WTT either (I expected that). I do like Karen Chen a lot though and was happy to see her at Worlds and will be watching her at WTT.

I didn't see that! I think Misha may be coreographing another ex for Gracie. I loved what he did for her this season and I kinda wish he would do her short program. She needs programs that really showcase her now, not warhorses of figure skating past.
