The interview where she talks about her weight breaks my heart. Gracie you are fabulous! Give yourself time and you'll get to where you want to be technically as the season goes on. Be kind to yourself!
I know it wasn't her best performance last night, but I gotta say, her FS is absolutely beautiful. I wasn't expecting to like it, but it's actually one of my favorite ladies programs this year. I sincerely hope she can get to a better place psychologically, and come back strong this season. I also hope she is getting the love/support/help from her team, family, and friends right now.
I think that Gracie is too much of a perfectionists and that imposes immense stress on her hence that breakdown. She needs psychological help at this point I think.
This just broke my heart. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...ssues-weight-physical-shape-skating/92618094/

What has made her like this? She seems like she's in a really bad place psychologically right now, and the fact that she thinks she has "weight issues" (how she came to that conclusion, I will never know! I mean, look at her) is incredibly worrying. If this is Frank's doing, so help me, I am going to start a mob.
(Not really, but a metaphorical mob, perhaps.)
In case anyone missed the program flyer for Skate America gracie said if she could spend time with any celebrity it would be the kardiashians or the jenners.
Unfortunately, Frank has mentioned her weight twice in things I've read or heard over the last few days. It just makes me furious. Why would he say such things in public remarks? He ought to know Gracie better than to do that.
Also, if she lost "several pounds," as the article said, over the past few weeks, it could well have impacted her stamina and ability to do those gorgeous jumps. It takes a lot of energy to get through a long program.
Some really great support from Ashley quoted at the end of the article. I don't know if it will help, but I'm glad she said those things. She knows what it's like to be down, and especially to survive a barrage of criticism from social media.

Definitely. I was so impressed with Ashley's supportiveness of Gracie, one of her main rivals. Shows great character and sportsmanship.
Frank, however, needs to shut his piehole about her weight. SHE IS A STICK. (If I looked like her, I'd never shut up about it.) That said, one of my main concerns is that this pressure from Frank and/or herself is going to cause her to undereat. I know firsthand how hard it is just to get by without murdering someone when you haven't eaten enough, let alone compete in an elite sporting event. Not saying it is, but if that is the case, it could be one of the major causes of her current problems. This is all further proof that she needs to get herself out of her current coaching setup as soon as she can.![]()
Re: poster who suggested putting together some sort of collection of "fan mail" or something for her-I would totally be on board with that. I want to send her a nice letter and a copy of The Inner Game of Tennis. I would send her a cheeseburger, but alas, I doubt that would ship.![]()
We should do a project for her, like a book of collages and letters encouraging her, she just looks so down lately. Does anyone want to do something like that? We could collect stuff and mail it to her at the toyota center or whatever fan mail address she has.
Gracie clarifies her statements in Instagram post.

With all the speculation, it's good to hear directly from her.
). I will throw it on the ice in Paris and hope it makes it

My project Gracie Gold is complete. A collage of pics that I taken at Worlds and this past SA and some words of encouragement my coworker helped me pick out (yeah cause I couldn't come up with anything on my own, well nothing good). I will throw it on the ice in Paris and hope it makes it
