Just wanted to point out that you've accidentally left Brooklee's name beside Liza's in 2nd place when you were re-ordering the entry list for your predictions.

We had a situation last year where one player had put the same name in for 1st and 3rd in one of the Men's competitions. Now, we all realised who they meant the other name to be, but not which way around. And the player didn't get it edited in time for the deadline. So, they didn't get the points for either skater.

So, you might want to fix your list before the deadline to avoid any ambiguity.

Hope you enjoy the Game

Thanks to coordinator/scorer Mrs. P. - scorers FSGMT, Snow63, elle_e and substitute scorers tulosai, Li'Kitsu, guenever, rosacotton

As frustrating as this game is - I'll play again. Big conflict between what I hope for and what is realistic. My predictions will have at least a touch of hope.

I think we're actually breaking all the records for what concerns the number of participants: already 80+ players before the beginning of the competitions themsvelves is wonderful!! We scorers will have a lot of homework to do (but it's just a pleasure of course)

Just thought I'd stop by to say I'm taking this game a little too seriously: I had nightmares last night about my top skaters bombing their programs :slink:

I think we are going to see a bit of a score boost to skaters that competed in the Challenger series. That should explain some of my prediction a bit more.

Honestly I suspect powers that be would be pretty damn happy if all the golds at this event went to skaters that did the Challenger series. I suspect there will be a bit of a push to promote it this year, and if skaters are getting a score boost and/or are looked at more favorably if they do, yeah I think more will sign up next year.

NOTE: Alexandra Stepanova may be injured (she hit the boards very hard during warm-up, and might be going to the hospital for X-rays). There is a possibility that Stepanova/Bukin won't compete at all.

 How many played last GP?

Before looking it up, I thought it was more. But it was actually only 53 (According to last season's spreadsheet)

I was just coming in to say I'm finally making myself decide my final predictions & I see this! I too had a nightmare about SA last night! I can barely remember it but I think someone broke their leg really badly, it was so horrible

So, I decided on a strategy for this. First, I made a list of what order they'd realistically finish in *IF* they skated their best. Then, I scrambled up a few names to simulate a few surprises being thrown in to the mix because we all know you can't expect them all to have the SOTL. Then I scrambled them some more. Then I came back to my list and scrambled some more. Basically, I'm just really indecisive.

I pulled Stepanova/Bukin. :slink:

Maybe if I have enough faith and mentally wish her strength, she'll feel well enough to skate!

Per @LynnRutherford, if anyone else is considering changing dance predictions:
Alexandra Stepanova is resting at her hotel. Will come to arena prior to short dance & then make decision on whether to compete. #SA2014

Isn't Alexandra aware that we have a dealine in one hour

I do hope she skates and I get burned for pulling them.

Kept S/B in :slink:

So did I. I've seen people play water polo matches with broken noses because they were their team's best shot at a win - that's the kind of vibe I'm getting. Desperate times = desperate measures.

Whatever happens, I hope she feels okay, even if she doesn't end up competing.
