Jonathan and Katia, who compete for Russia, are strong contenders for the Jr. Worlds dance title. They recently gave an interivew to ice-dance.com. Because Jonathan grew up in Australia, his English is excellent. I enjoyed the interview very much, and hope you do too.

Apparently Jonathan's parents met on the Torvill & Dean tour. And Shpilband was also with the T&D tour, as were Svinin & Zhuk, and Garanina, so many of the current seniors have coaches who were involved in T&D's tours.

ice-dance.com has always covered all levels of ice dance activity, and they do try to cover the international scene as well, if they can find contacts/bloggers/reporters for the different events. I don't know if you saw it, but Jonathan did the Skater blog for ice-dance for Cup of Russia, and really did an excellent job.
