I would love to see Adam nail a rippon quad lutz. That'd be a thing of beauty.

That'll be cool, but I just can't see it happening. Any kind of quad lutz would already be a godsend. (Why doesn't Adam do 4T or 4S? Unless... he truly finds those harder than 4Lz? If that's the case, I'm worried about him).

I tend to forget about Rippon immediately after the competition, not so with Jason.
Therefore, I'll go with Jason. Quad or no quad.

I don't know why most of fans are so obsessed with Jason adding a quad in his programs. I think he should first stabilize his 3A. He needs consistent 3A more than quad.

Agreed!! His 3A always make me nervous... Though then again there are plenty of skaters who seem to find quads easier than 3A... Like lambiel and chan. Maybe Jason will be similar??

I assume as a result that Jason's costumes this season will not be purple. Or green.
And even though I saw Purple Rain three times when it first came out, it took me a while to realize Jason's first Prince costume was trying to replicate Prince's actual stage wear. Poor kid was drowning in those ruffles.

Technique, artistry, all that can be discussed to the end of the world.

But Jason has the X-factor which makes people - who have never watched FS - watch his video and weep. Seriously so many of the comments for that 4+ million Riverdance video were along the lines of "never interested, never watch, now I'm laughing and crying"

For me the one thing that he has that I don't think many skaters have is that his joy in skating and his love of performance is so obvious. Canada's Osmond has that quality, but I can't think of any other male skaters who have that.

Agree with everything TMC says except the comment about Osmond. Just have never seen that - which doesn't mean it isn't there.

Jason truly is one in a million. I hope he can keep it going without injury, mishap, coach change, etc. That smile lights up the room and then the skating backs it up!

The same as artistry. I mean I have seen a comment on youtube stating that Kovtun is the most artistic skater ever. And I am just at that comment.

That is true, but then there's the amount of beholders who see it versus the amount that do not - and I think Jason wins there.

This. To me Jason is inauthentic - I don't get the "it" factor from him at all. (But many do see it)

I'm watching the Jr GP now- quite a few guys are attempting quads. A good thing Jason and Adam never had to deal with that.

Adam used to have "it", but he's skating scared lately.
