This thread just cracks me up........ I haven't been to a live skating event in over 10 years and this story is more about hockey....Sorry

I was on a tour singing for Coca Cola in Russia and oh my god !!!! We were at a rink that was freezing cold and I was complaining my Engine Off. We were actually there rehearsing for a performance later in the week.

I got some coffee and I was leaving the line.....A group of hockey players came into the rink. I think they were from St Petersburg. Holy Cow !!!! Talk About Engines !! They were huge....I just gawked at them. It's embarrassing but, they were spectacular ! I never wanted to leave Russia.....Maria Butyrskaya and those hockey players......Heaven !
