I wonder where the actual trophy is going to be? Jason is the first recipient of the newly defined award and he got a platter with an engraving of the trophy. Maybe it will be in the Figure Skating Hall of Fame? Has anyone seen a mention of that?
Yes. I have linked it in the Edge thread on the Jason award but I can link it here too. The Dick Button Trophy Room, the Skating Club of Boston

Jason and Alexa toured Zurich together: he took the pics on her on her IG and she took the pics of him for his IG.

Art on Ice has live artists, so Jason may very well get "volunteered" for one of the live songs. Selfishly I hope he gets more practice on Adios before Worlds; at this point he could do Impossible Dream in his sleep. :)

I hope that he'll use both programs for his upcoming ice shows, with jumps. The repetitions will be good practice. I'm delighted that he's doing the show. He loved it last year. It might help him get more gigs in Europe also. I am looking forward to World's!

Jason will not be doing his usual programs at Art on Ice.

He is skating to Natalie Imbruglia singing "Torn" (the only song I know by her, TBH) and "Would I Lie to You" sung by Dave Stewart of the Eurhythmics and a singer I don't know, Vanessa Amorosi. (skating with Adam SHF in this one)

That's even better. He will love that! I wish they had videos of these performances.

Both Natalie Imbruglia and Dave Stewart (and the woman singing the Annie Lennox parts) are singing live at Art on Ice. I would guess that Jason is "freestyling" as he did to the live string sextet at the Nats Gala, and has not crafted an actual program for later use.

Selfishly, I hope he does "Adios" at Notte Stellata because I think it's a great program and it does not have as much mileage. I also think it would fit with the "vibe" of the show, or at least it would fit the way that Melancholy did last year. Of course, Jason will do whatever Yuzuru and the organizers ask, :)

My personal opinion of the ISU Awards is that they were cheesy and several of the winners made no sense to me. BUT, the one thing that made it all bearable to me was Kurt's overwhelming respect and adoration for Jason and his skating. You can tell from my avatar that I am a HUGE Kurt Browning fan and I arguably think he's got the best footwork of anyone who has ever skated. In fact, the first time I met Jason I told him that up to that point Kurt had been my all-time favorite but that he, Jason, was fast catching up!!! To hear Kurt gush about Jason and say he is one of the best ever was just so satisfying to me. For too many years Jason was criticized for not having that damnable quad and his beautiful skating was minimized. It took awhile but that isn't the case anymore. And to hear that from someone I love and respect so much was just wonderful.
OK, I'm getting all mushy. 🥴 (by the way - they're tied now!)
