Thank you SO MUCH for posting this!! I love everything about the program...... choreography is sublime, costume is perfection (hope it doesn't change !!) First time hearing music fully and love it...

I agree with everything you said! I LOVE this programme, and I even love the music now. SOOO different here from the previous videos. SO HAPPY

Isn't that last season's SP costume? It does work really well, as does the manbun!

Overall he looks like he's more sure of the choreography and able to do more with it, which is great! Hopefully that will carry over to his competitive program. The show version has fewer and less difficult elements, though, so it may take awhile to get there.

One of the things I think works much better in the show program is that it doesn't have the long setups for the 3A and 4T so it somehow seems more cohesive. I wonder if there's any way around that in the competitive program? I guess we'll see.

Random thought: that ice looked really soft and wet!

wow thank you for the video its great the program is getting so much better I'm really going too love it:thumbsup::yahoo:

ETA: Tavi... The ice is usually perfectly soft at Sun Valley, but we've had some really high mid-day temps recently into the 110's and it's causing the ice to soften and look more wet, also there were thunderstorms that came through yesterday that of course the ice got wet from several hours before the show.

Enjoy Jason fans! :)

Thx for the vids. @Rosa74 and @Ic3Rabbit:clap:

I can see that Jason is going to drag me kicking and screaming to a knowledge of the modern Broadway musical. I wonder of the new YT will be how much he loves "Dear Evan Hansen"?;)

Thank you so much, Ic3Rabbit! Wow, 110 and altitude - that's some weather. But it looks gorgeous there and it must be so cool to skate on that rink.

I actually like this music, although the choreo kinda looks like "Jason's greatest hits." 😉

Since most of us appreciate Jason's kind-heartedness as much as his skating, I thought it was worth a mention that both he and his parents are listed as having donated (generously and separately) to the GoFundMe for Sean Rabbitt's mother.

I am sure that many skating fans, posters and other skaters have donated, but this is the Jason Fan Fest, so kudos to Jason and his family. :hap85:

Haha, it's a fast downhill slope, el henry. I went from "what is this musical which people are raving about and from which Jason has taken music" to full-blown "HAMILTON IS THE GREATEST MUSICAL OF MY AGE AND LIN MANUEL MIRANDA IS A GOD AND I HOPE THIS SHOW COMES TO AUSTRALIA OR MAYBE ONE DAY I CAN SEE IT IN THE US AND PLEASE RELEASE THE DVD I NEED TO SEE THIS AND HMM LET'S JUST RESEARCH THE STORY FOR FUN AND I LOVE THIS MUSIC" in like...two days.

Oh goodness, I love that SP is so much more now that I could actually hear the music!!!

Isn't it amazing what a difference it makes?? Before, with the other videos, I was kind of meh - I mean I liked it, but mostly because it was Jason and not because I responded to the choreography as such - but with this video it suddenly hit me like a freight train that this is actually a great programme!

I must confess that I love the music for his new ex so much that I actually bought the original cast recording for the show (I also got Hamilton).

Isn't it great! Have you seen video of Window from the Tony Awards? The awesome close-up video that I used to watch daily is no longer available, but this one isn't too bad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nlw8hp_vzec . Sometimes I just put this song on repeat when preparing dinner. :) I so want to see this show.

I haven't, but I watched this where Ben Platt sings Waving from a Window - it's not from the show though:

What's kind of funny is that he sounds a lot like Jason in real life - nice Jewish boy, 23, said to be a super nice person, super consistent performer, dad (okay, not mom!) is a producer (mega successful - he produced Wicked), grew up in family obsessed with musical theater and whole family breaks into song at random times, parents trying to keep him grounded!

What's your favourite Hamilton song so far? Mine is Wait for It but I also love the quirkiness of Your Obedient Servant (when I'm not shouting at it "STOP ACTING LIKE FIVE YEAR OLDS YOU IDIOTS").

Since we're sharing clips - here's the original Hamilton cast doing Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down) live at the Tonys (the one where they won like 11).

And them doing the titular opening number live for the Grammys (including the famous moment were Lin Manuel Miranda's second line is drowned out by the crowd's excitement over the first).

The one video I'd really love to see is Leslie Odom Jr (the original Burr) doing "The Room Where It Happens", which is basically Burr's big moment in the second act, and from tiny clips I've seen looks amazing, all dancing like crazy. But I can't find any, so I'm guessing it's going to be one I'll have to wait for when the Original Broadway Cast DVD comes in out...in maybe ten years...

Too bad, Karne, about three weeks ago I found and posted a fancam of Room Where it Happens (Broadway) but it's been taken down. It is amazing! This is a montage (my shot is playing but the video is from different songs and has a fleeting glimpse or two of Room), but it may give you a bit of an idea:

This is a rehearsal clip of Wait for it that's pretty cool:

Very brief 20 second clip of Room in this from 5:40 (concert) to (6:00) - Broadway Showwith click boom!

If I find anything more on point I'll let you know. Oh just got music so can't answer as to my favorites yet!

Well, I did like "Room Where it Happens" enough to find the earlier post of Leslie Odom Jr. in concert. But I have yet to download any tunes. That may happen ;)

"Dear Evan Hansen" however (and I think the song is quite good and the singer appealing) I am sorry to say, will not capture my heart. Why? Because "Waving through the Window" only reminds me of one of my all time favorite jams, from the Jackson Five when the J5 were a great pop/RnB outfit, "Looking through the Window". And I mean "Looking through the Window" is in the top 20 of my old school favs. So Waving through the Window won't do it:laugh:

Not quite 14 year old Michael Jackson getting his groove on

And to bring it back to the present topic, where do you think the "Hamilton" cast borrowed their moves?

And if I have to see one more video of Jason's *family* dancing, I'm sorry, thank heavens for the skating clips....

Yeah, I've seen just enough of these clips to make me really want to see the whole number .

As for that list! *indignant flailing* How can The World Was Wide Enough not even get an honourable mention? I mean, it makes you cry. Every single time! (Also miffed at Wait for It being as low as 4th! And no Guns and Ships! Who are these heathens?!)

I may or may not have a bit of a crush on Leslie Odom Jr now. That voice, my lord...
