Jason Brown

I didn't think it was Hamilton either -- but the resemblance is uncanny. I bet it's the dog of the family he lives with.

I thought Jason enjoyed the dogs at the Media Summit, LOL. YMMV.

I'm putting my bet on Tracy Wilson being the one going to Champs Camp.

He did enjoy the dogs! He just looked like he was about to drop them. :)

Jeannie, last year Jason did a short video about Champs Camp that you might find interesting:

It’s a fun video but I’m so glad that hair style was short lived!

I would not be surprised to see Brian with Jason. With Boyang gone and Jason and Evgenia going to the same three (at least) events, I think Brian may be logistically playing a larger roll than was originally thought. He has more time at the top, and as I think he will be traveling with Evgenia I would assume, it maybe easier for Brian to be Jason's K&C coach than bring another since Brian will be there anyway.

Also... don't you see how this is a great spying opportunity? (and please know i mean spying in the friendliest of ways) I mean if I were a figure skating coach i would relish the chance to go to another countries version of champs camp as I think it would be great learning opportunity. You get to see what the competition is doing and learn from their ideas and techniques so you can bring them home to your own skaters. Honestly even at Brian's level USFS champs camp still might have some value to him from a learning point. It is chance to see how others do things, and that is ALWAYS valuable to the flexible and evolving mind. I don't think a coach going with Jason should be seen as a bad thing at all.

Brian could also leave early if he needs to most likely so I think he can still make the JGP for Steven.

What is interesting is that we have not had much of a hit as to who he has been working with. That is a bit out of character of Jason really. So i will be interested to see who goes where with him. Id actually like to hear from him about how the arrangement has evolved.

Stitch it’s almost 100% sure Brian won’t go this time. He’s coached Stephen for 6 years and he’s making his JGP debut the same week - that’s huge, and it’s not just that dates overlap, it’s preparing him. So for sure he’ll be with Stephen. But maybe Tracy. :)

So Jason, I gave you a week off. Still no LP announcement.

But black hearts and thinking posts? Sheesh.....

What's a gal gotta do to get some real news?;)

Welcome back! I hope you had a great vacation. :)

Gotta love Grant's response to Jason's black heart/thinking post:

It's always good to have a friend like Grant who makes you laugh when you get angsty and artsy.

...

As we all know, in past years Jason performed his new programs in front of audiences several times before putting them on display at Champs Camp and was able to get a feel for what worked and what didn't before having them evaluated. Since he wasn't able to do that this year, I wouldn't be surprised if he spent a lot of time with David Wilson last week polishing the programs.

I join the chorus in hoping Tracy will accompany him to camp.

^^^^

Thanks, and thanks for pointing out Grant's responses, @Katmari, and so cute that Chris Knierim joined in as well.

And at least now we're back to red hearts:biggrin:

OMG! Jason''s getting his hair cut for real! Or just did get it cut. Acc to his IG Story. Eeek! :eeking:

Just in time for his duties as best man. (Not to mention Champs Camp.)

Your short hair looks good, Jason.

Look forward to seeing a smile along with the new 'do. (But understood that it is a huge change for you :ghug:. And not a decision that you made lightly, I imagine.)

Have fun at the wedding. :hap85:

I think it was time for a change and I really do like it. Proud of him for taking the plunge.

He'll have so much extra time before comps now not having to gel it all down. :)

Oh noooooooo:sad21: I came of age in the 70s, and I love a man with long hair.

But he does look great, and I think his pre-skate grooming routine just got *a lot* shorter. ;) (ETA: Typing the same time as @Rosa74, great minds think alike) And he will need to learn, as I did when I finally went short short, to own the curl.

Bye bye pony......:)
