Javier Fernandez

He is in a good place financially (finally), I should think. LaLiga4Sports must be good, UCAM is not bad and now Reebok. Plus the income generated by shows and tours etc. :)

From Reebok Iberia, short texts introduing the athletes in the program plus a longer version of the video.

Javi's Reebok introduction with a brief interview, some photos and a video.

Some great photoshoots were made this summer - remember that SuperJavi pic? - and then this which nearly a gave me a heart attack when I opened the interwebs this morning

And because LaLiga4Sports does not wish to get forgotten, another conversation in the family, this time on Javi's travels around the world. It just came out, so I wonder have the busy translators been able to get it done already?

But what I would really wish to see is the new FS, of course...

And Twitter provides.

These EYES. It should be illegal!

Does anyone here know from which movie this section of music is from.... https://youtu.be/XHsYT6oegP8?t=4m12s

Was watching Javi's old Chaplin routine and sadly couldn't find what the music was when rummaging through old Chaplin archives on youtube.

I´m not sure it could be either Smile from Modern Times or This is My Song from A Countess from HongKong... My music ear is not good:rofl: . Anyway, it´s hauntingly familiar!

The Reebok ad is out, not bad to watch whilst waiting for skating news. (The collection introduced here with a nice pic/s of Javi.9

And from Graf, a picture of Javi and his sister with new boots.

A couple of pics from Port Carling - from Javi a nice view and some leisure activities with Spanish friends. With one of the participants in the camp. and this is so cute - the Superheroes... The two Javiers... training hard?

And a few more snippets from the FS. Looks a bit like the first spin maybe towards at the end of the first part with the opening/Man of La Mancha as music, then something else before the end which seems to be dedicated to Impossible Dream.

A bit of research on the various recordings of Man of La Mancha revealed that they are using this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQTkv46HdBk (Studio recording from 1996; ID around 30 minute mark) with our old friend Placido Domingo singing the lead. Some of you may have noticed that I am not a great fan of this musical, but this is a better arrangement than either of the Broadway versions or the movie. The best Impossible Dream I've heard so far - the tempo does not as slow as in most other ones. I can (almost) accept this :shocked:

Edit: Adding the Beat the Heat from last night. Javi skated the new SP. Also in YT now. Posing for pics. Almost the same moment but from another angle, worth posting though.
(This seems to be Javi practicing a number with the students from earlier.)

A recent interview snippet from Japan translated.
Another short interview in Japanese with a sort of a translation (it seems that the Japanese media interviewed also Javi when Hanyu had his media day earlier this month...)

Thanks for the clips, Eppen!!! Oh my, after a few days we will see Javi´s new programs...., the long wait will be over ;). I guess he has been very busy with his trainings as there has been no new info about him recently.

Hey, lovely compilation!! As a fellow Fernández fan I really appreciate the effort!
Just wanted to offer a hand in any translations (specially since there's the new YouTube channel and stuff). I know some have been translated already (even if some are a bit incomplete), so it may be in any future ones :p

Thanks for the clip!!! The program looks good this early and I really like the music.

I was worried about the music because I've never been a big fan of Man of La Mancha, but I was both relieved and happy when I heard what David Wilson put together. The music is great & it really suits Javi.

I agree, the program looks great. Obviously, since it's just a run-through, you have to fill in the blanks, but you do get a good idea of what the finished product will look like. I'm so glad the ACI is streamed, no geoblock!

I just watched Javi´s sp clip from 2017 Autumn Classic and thought the entity of program, music and choreography was really great. And Javi gave a performance which looks exactly right for an end September performance, IMO, keeping in mind that there are about 5 months until the Olympics. I´m so glad that this sp feels like a totally new sp!
