Javier Fernandez

Great job, Javi! I'm so pleased for him!

A little aggravating to watch - as my telly broadcast kept freezing up - which did ruin my mood somewhat. Since every other second I'd be going "Oh, no! - for goodness' sake" &c and wondering what I was missing and "it just had to happen NOW! - ugh" &c and clenching my fists....

But so happy for him! At last he was clean! (Unless something untoward happened that I missed while the broadcast was acting up... )

Vamos Javier!!! This could be your "A groom, not groomsman" year! Fight for that LP :hb:

Javier did so well! I was jumping like crazy while I was watching him! I didn't think he would be able to get anything more than a bronze but that fantastic SP was just :drama:
And the difference with Yuzuru is really not that big, and with the technical content Javi has in the FS, he can get to the top ^^ I hope it gets very exciting tomorrow with these guys!

yeah glad he did well and there were so many Spanish flags in the crowd! Not the best luck in the drawing department, having to skate after Hanyu-san, but keep up the good work.

Best SP performance! Sorry, Javi, for doubting your 4S.

So nervous for the free. I don't know how he could go clean, or skate even better than the short. But he sounds very relaxed (and sweet) in the interview, so I wish him luck.

I was super thrilled by Javier's skate last night, it was totally fun and electrifying.

I do remember his Pirates routine but since then I sort of forgot about him.

Best of luck to him tonight!

The only downside? I've had Black Betty stuck in my head all day!

Thank goodness for Javi's win or I would be completely depressed over this competition! This is such a big deal, for him and for Spain!

I certainly hope his fan thread will be more active now. As much as I like Yuzuru, Javi deserves to be recognized as a talented individual in his own right.

Hope he can have a fabulous celebration with Miki! :cheer:

Congrats from the bitter Ten fan as myself:p

But seriously happy for Javi@!!! & cant wait for him to slay in the Gala!:cheer:

Javi is quite mentally strong actually. Three straight WC's now he has delivered in the FS. Even his disaster zayak Olympic skate was better performed than Hanyu and Chan.

I'm overjoyed to see Javi finally stayed calm and skated good enough to become world champion.:party2:
