Jin-Seo Kim

Kim Jin-seo (Korean: 김진서; born November 29, 1996) is a retired South Korean figure skater. He claimed the South Korean senior national title in 2012 and 2014, earned bronze at the 2012 ISU Junior Grand Prix in Austria, and took silver at the 2014 Ondrej Nepela Trophy.

At the 2014 World Championships, he made history as the first Korean men’s singles skater to break the 200-point barrier in total score.

I approve of that LP. :yes: It was ridiculously charming (not to mention fitting, performed in Kurt Browning's home province), even with some mistakes. And the judges seem to recognize it too--PCS were much higher than the TES.

When I first heard of his music choices, I was a bit worried because Singing in the Rain is, in my mind, forever linked to Kurt. But it came out very well! I'm so much in love with that program.

Is Jin seo coached by Mura's dad mainly now?

He has been training in Okayama city with Mura's dad time to time since last year,
and even participated their local shows as well.

Some of his Okayama pics are on the twitter of Yuto Kishina, who is also coached by Mura's dad.

It seems that Jin seo & Yuto are good buddies,
and Yuto stated that his show number was choreographed by Jin seo.

At the recent Asian Trophy, he was with Mura's dad.

In recent years, Jin seo has shared his coach with June Hyoung LEE,
and at the last Nationals, both of them were with Hea Sook Shin.
However, at the 4CC, Jin seo was with Mura's dad, and June Hyoung was with Higuchi(not Wakaba's dad)
who is also a Japanese coach.
I thought Hea Sook Shin might be sick or got an urgent business at that time,
so she probably requested these two coaches to take care of her skaters probably.

However, at the Asian Trophy, June Hyoung was with Hea Sook Shin,
and Jin seo was with Mura's dad interestingly enough.

I have checked both Jin seo's and June Hyoung's ISU bios,
and still Hea Sook Shin is listed as a coach for both of them.

It seems to be a little odd to me
though Mura papa got the reason to be there as Yuto also competed there.
So maybe Jin seo requested Mura papa to be with him just for that occasion.

BTW it is very nice to see Jin seo was welcomed to Okayama's skating community

It seems that Jin seo keeps enjoying to train in Okayama.
Since Mura's last year's FP was choreographed by Charlie,
probably Mura worked with him again this year.
But instead of Mura going to Charlie's home rink, Charlie visited Okayama,
which means he might have worked with other Okayama based skaters as well.
Not knowing Jin seo worked closely with Charlie or not,
hope he has learned/absorbed/stole something from this great skater.

I think June Hyoung needs outside help like Jin seo getting there.
