Joshua Farris

Sorry Id disagree...^ I think it would be great for josh!!

Well, that's the fun part. We don't have to agree  and sometimes, program music can be unexpectedly good for a skater. Personally, I'd like to see Josh do a more upbeat, happy SP, particularly since his niche before the break was classical or emo programs. But I'm sure no matter what he comes up with, it will be awesome.

If you're in a timezone that's awake, a reminder that #GiveJoshLove starts in a little over half an hour!

Let's goooooooooooooo!

YAY! Josh is scheduled to skate in a charity show! :yahoo:

Josh being announced for the Skate It Forward Charity Show in Columbus, OH on May 6 (Part 2)

Part 1 of the announcement tweets

It looks like the proceeds will go to Ronald McDonald Charities of Central Ohio.

Also scheduled to perform are Mariah Bell, Ponsart Romain, Hawayek/Baker, and Scimeca/Knierim!

Hints for new programs, maybe, possibly :drama:(it will be May, after all....)

Fancams, please, of all the performances!

Tomorrow - Gracie Gold and Joshua Farris will be special guests for Aspen FSC's "Beauty and the Beast on Ice" shows. There will be shows at 2:30pm and 6:00pm.

I don't see what roles that Gracie and Joshua will be playing, but I'm thinking it's probably small/brief roles.

This is such a cool opportunity considering that they will be performing with Paul Wylie! Apparently, Wylie has been performing in this event for several years now. The show is a fundraiser for The National Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

:cool2:

A mini follow-up is that a page about Josh has been added to the show website .

Nothing newsworthy on the page -- no new quotes or video or anything.
Just nice to see Josh being promoted :yay:.

From the Skate It Forward's FB page: Video of Josh promoting the ice show. :)

I'm thinking that we won't see a Alexa/Chris promotion clip until they come back from Worlds. I will keep a lookout for it. I've posted Kaitlin & Jean-Luc's video on their fan thread. This looks like it will be a pretty good charity show.

Alexe Gilles posted a sweet photo of herself with Josh and Ryan Bradley -- along with an affectionate message to the two of them :ghug:.

They are on ice at the World Arena Ice Hall.

Josh looks good -- with a nice smile :) and a cool t-shirt .

(BTW:  No joke, ever since Josh announced his comeback, I have been wondering whether he still practices in his sushi t-shirt .  I hope so.  #priorities)

That t-shirt is cool - but I do wonder what that object/symbol means (if anything)? :scratch2:

Speaking of the Skate It Forward fundraising show, I am a but surprised that Jason isn't announced as part of the cast. Isn't the Ronald McDonald Charities one of Jason's favorite organizations? It would be neat if we saw a friendly picture of Joshua and Jason together at an ice show or some other event.

He looks so happy and relaxed. Oh, I can't wait for the day...when we see him on the ice again...not just to present medals...

And he is listed in the ISP for next season. I'm so happy!

I'm not optimistic about this - yet. I think it will depend on what happens at Summer Camp & Skate Detroit/Glacier Falls whether USFS gives him an assignment(s) that will get him byed out of Regionals/Sectionals. I think (more like hope) that Joshua/Christy/Damon is in a better place politically than Johnny Weir was when he ended up having to go to Sectionals after he disasterly withdrew from 2003 Nationals.

This is also the same USFS that let DeeDee Leng/Simon Shnapir have 2 GP assignments off the bat when they just paired up. And they were God-awful - even for a U.S. pairs team. So, who knows?

Wonderful to see Josh :luv17: at the World Synchro medal ceremony. He looked as endearing as ever, as did Max and Jason.

Look forward to Josh's return to competition.

Re DeeDee and Simon:
USFS did not "let" them have two GP assignments.
Two other federations invited them.

AFAIK, Josh would meet the ISU criteria for Return of a ranked Skater and would be eligible for consideration (by any federation) for GP assignments.

One weekend until the Skate It Forward show in Columbus, OH! :) Here is the link if you still want to buy tickets! Tickets are $13 and there are shows at 2:30PM and 5:30PM. It would be cool if we saw photos/videos - hopefully they will be posted by Skate It Forward.

In case anyone is interested, Joshua will be teaching some turns and edges seminars the next day (Sunday). There will be an adult specific class at 8:30am and two classes in the afternoon divided by level: Instagram announcement and Facebook announcement.

Joshua will be teaching and (I'm guessing) performing in the show of the Skate Dance Dream Performance Camp in Mentor, OH on July 16. I'm only guessing he will be in the show from the Skate Dance Dream camp's website.

Instagram announcement
Twitter announcement
Facebook announcement

One question, though: Doesn't doing this take him out of summer competitions like Skate Detroit and Glacier Falls? Aren't they all mid to late July?

HOLY CRAP I LIVE RIGHT BY THERE OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG

I am literally dying
