Hailey, I love you, you always have good news. I hope with all my heart and soul that he could make it to the Asian Open, but at the end of the day, qualifing for Winter Olympic is the most important. I just hope that he won't get too tired after back to back competitions.

Me either;) I really want to see his program at many competitions, (even if I cannot go and just have to see it through youtube:drama:) but most important thing is his health. Anyway he has long long way to get to the olympic this season.:p

I guess he is all ready to go! He was back to CC from April when the big boys under team Orser was doing ice show oversea. OMG! Can't wait. It is long long way for him, the qualifying competition, Asian open, GP assignment, national... best of luck to him :hap10:
P.S. I just hope that he don't grow too much in height. :roll9:

Rough translation of the interview for you!

Junhwan: I am going to debut as senior this season, I feel little nervous but I hope to do well at all of competitions just as I practiced.
In Canada, I practiced my new programs and new jumps, but I think the most important thing is that not getting hurts, so I focused on that while training.

I also focused on practicing quad salchow and toeloop, but nailing those jumps are different day by day. It depends on the condition of the day, so maintaining good condition is very important, I think.

As I'm turning into senior (this season), I especially take care of new programs, and I practiced quad salchow and toeloop while training.
But again, avoiding hurts was most important thing.

I will add one quad salchow and a quad toeloop in my free skate this season, as solo jumps.
 
He's got a good head on his shoulders; nice to know he's got his priorities straight. Glad he's going for the two quads in the fs. He doesn't need any more at his age right now.
 
Thanks! It's good to know that he's just settling for 2 quads for now, best to stay injury free especially for this season. I'm really looking forward to watch his new programs.

Also, did Brian follow him to Korea?

People said that he will come to Korea for Jun hwan at 25th.

Saw in a different thread that he withdrew from Asian Trophy and while I am sad, I'm also pretty glad about it. It was just too close to this upcoming competition for me to feel comfortable with though I know fans must be disappointed to know this late. All I want is for him to stay healthy, mentally sound (away from media pressure!) and to see his new programs!!:yahoo: His realistic prospects lie with Beijing 2022 and I'm 100% sure he'll get the biggest applause and fanfare from the home audience so all he needs to do is focus on going clean and enjoy it all without pushing himself to join the quad war.:luv17:

Also, he never fails to make me smile in his interviews. That response about his hair...I can feel all the hair stylists in the country itching to get their hands on those locks.:laugh: I'm a fan of his hair and I think it looks awesome with his fast spins so I'm glad he's walking that lone road. Though I wish he would trim the sides a bit because it is getting a bit long.:p

Yep, I'm glad he's withdrawing from AT. I had my doubts as it's right after the qualifying competition, so that's a relief.
I'm personally Team Haircut, but it's hardly an issue. Though I certainly wouldn't mind his mother taking him for a trim, that's for sure, haha.

Yes, totally agree, if he eventually withdrew, as long as its best option for his physical and mental health, fans will definitely understand. I believe Mr. Orser and himself will make the best decision for him.

I am totally in the club of slightly-long-haircut too :peace:
 
Withdrawing from AT was the right decision for sure. I hope his training went well (esp for the 3A), I look forward to it!
I also look forward to seeing The Planets. I'll have a hard time not to think of Satoko (as she's done it the previous season and I LOVED it), but I believe he has what it takes to make his own great program. :) Will be cheering for him and Young! :love:
