Junhwan Cha

Plot twist: the shirt hanging out loose on his left back side is intentional. I'm no fashionista, but lol.

Good luck to Junhwan at nationals! Skate freely and enjoy yourself! He's also listed to be on the team for 4CC, but I'm still hoping for that Junior Worlds assignment (please KSU).

Practice of FS for Korean ranking:

Did Jun went back for his FS last season for the rest of this season? Or just for the Korean ranking completion? Jumps is looking more stable now, I am so glad. Did Korean media mention how his injury is healing by now?

Yep, seems like he did. :( I mean, at least mi mancherai was a good program, but I so miss planets. The costume ane choreo was A+! Hope he brings it back for next season but I won't get my hopes up.
Orser just mentioned he's feeling good now and capable of overturning the 30 pt gap, but nothing specific about his injury. Good luck jun!

according to my simple arithmetic, he should need about 23 more points in the free in order to surpass june-hyoung's total score by one point

I don't think I'll be able to watch the free program event :palmf:

its gonna be heartbreaking no matter the outcome, on one hand June Hyoung kept delivering during season and earned the spot at Nebelhorn but on other hand Jun was injured and didnt have the time to heal properly thanks to too many domestic competitions, i understand the need to have different competitions and not relying on only one but they could do best 2 of 3 or something, rather than forcing everyone to attend everything :dbana:

The SP is well skated, quad free SP, but his jumps is definitely stable. I would miss the planet as well, I think they might bring it back next season, it’s a good program, Jun just don’t have time to skate it and breed it in big competitions and GP, understand that he change back to last season LP, in order to maximise his prossible outcome for the ranking competitions and maybe 4CC.

Guys, Jun Hwan is going to the Olympics! He got 252. 65 points in total (SP: 84.05 FS: 168.6) He's like one of the top most searched 'hot issue' right now in Daum (Korean web portal site). I literally made an account to write this.

So worth it staying up, lol! Congrats to him and his team. Orser and Wilson must be thrilled.

Welcome!
I understand! I was like texting all my fd for this news! :hap57:

Wonderful performance today. I wish every my favourites surprised me in such a great way! When Brian Orser said Jun was ready do fulfill the 30 pts gap, I just crossed my fingers. There was still a chance and Jun took it. What the nerves of steel! Congratulations and good luck for the main part of the season!

Congrats on beating the odds and coming back strong, kiddo! Glad he's recovered and on his way to the Olympics!

Congrats on winning and making it to Home Olympics! Both skates were great! :hap10:

Congrats on going to Olympics! :cheer: He did it against all odds, no wonder he’s one of the top trending in Korea network lol! Aside from the UR on his 4S, he did no mistake as far as I remember (at least no fall). It’s good to see him in good health!
So, will he do 4CC? Because Team Event in Olympics is shortly after (such a pointless event imho) and being the only man, he’ll have to go.

As a general fan of him as a junior, I periodically check in here to see how he's doing and everyone was always so down... he was suffering from injuries, it looked pretty bad for him to make the team... and now to see he is going? So happy for all you big fans and for him and his team. That's clutch competing to do so well and grab the spot so many thought he'd lost. Finally a win for TCC after their not so good season as a whole...
