I just have this awful sinking feeling that if this doesn't play out well, the powers that be will train Kamila to take the fall for this.

Nah, Kami is beloved child in Russia, and no matter what actually happen next, putting blame on her will be last thing anyone in charge will do.

would give RUSADA the impression they have this kind of authority? do they have this kind of authority?

And furthermore if they do have this authority (which is implied from this WADA appeal that they shouldn't),
how the hell did they ever receive it?

As I understand it, Rusada was the one who initiated the testing. Which means that ITA and IOC have no jurisdiction to act. That's why they have appealed to CAS. It's expected that an explanation from Rusada will come soon and the CAS decision will be before Tuesday.

let's say there is a ruling a month provision sentence then that would mean only until after euros she already completed that, and will be cleared to compete.

Not sure what the standard is but if it was typically a month would the IOC/ISU be fighting to reinstate the suspension? Given the press attention on it, those 2 organizations are unlikely to let the end result be "oh well the suspension is 1 month and its backdated to the day of the positive test so she's totally fine to compete here at the Olympics"

So they can basically decide whatever they want and not let anyone in on their process,
which coming from any country, let alone one that's under increased doping scrutiny,
is almost sure to be met by some resistance from a bigger non national organisation shortly after,
what's the point then? just hoping it some cases just kinda get through international inspection?

if a ruling even for a minor is decided they can try again but it will be a new low for IOC or Wada to go after a minor.so chances they will wait for cas ruling and not appeal again

I am not arguing that a lot of these drugs are dangerous. They certainly are. But the major ones that are used in sports are known by the participants and they are still taken. Some adults will take the risk and still choose to take them regardless. I say let them. It’s not my job to make decisions for what the athletes willingly chose to put in their bodies. People need to understand the stress they are under to perform.

I can even agree with a lot of this. But. There are obvious issues:
1) This shift balance even more towards 'competition between humans' -> 'competition between med science'. And actually that no much of interest for me. Formula-1 is a different genre. Better look for robot wars, they are better for that kind of fun.
2) It is a huge step towards pure gladiator fight. Actually, the next logical step is to have an actual fight (or 'blade runner' game) to the death between adult participants, who willingly agree to do it. Are you ok with it?

And everybody else will go on living fabulous lives while they boot Kamila off the island.

That would be cruel. She's litterally a child. They can't let a child take all the blame, even if it means the end of Eteri's supremacy. It doesn't mean the end of Russian supremacy in ladies. Part of Eteri's and Rusfed's success is politicking. They will just do politicking for another camp.

Whatever the decision will be, i don't think Eteri's camp will survive it. Even just for the image, Rusfed will maybe stop supporting her. And it won't resolve the premature quads jumping and retirements, for those who think that Eteri's fall will make figure skating better. Not at all. Rusfed will just shift its bonus to the camp with the most stable skaters.

I understand and I too want the girls' Olympic experience to be as pleasant as possible but being left coach-less or with distracted coaches will NOT do them any favors whatsoever. And it's most certainly the last thing on earth they want right now. They are completely alone there, the coaches are the only adult figures they have with them. Alexandra and Kamila don't even speak English. What a mess for these poor kids.

And I'm sorry to say it, but that they have found the drug in Kamila's system is a fact. The dispute is no longer whether she has broken the rules, the dispute now is simply what the consequences will be.
And if Kamila was on this drug, with 99% certainty obviously Anna and Sasha were too. It's just the sad truth, anything else is completely irrational to believe. And I am perfectly aware that this is morally questionable, but I'm glad they managed to evade detection, it's enough for this camp to have ruined the professional life of 1 underaged girl for now.
What a ridiculous thing to do, some extra blood flow to the heart and some extra training ability does not make these girls the champions they are. That's the saddest part, they did not need to be doped. They were more than brilliant enough on their own.

Innocent yes, but not clean. Because I believe Kamila is innocent, but ist she clean? One test says she isn't.

Well imagine the situation that your rival will put something into your food, dring etc. Should you be still banned because you are innocent but not clean?

At this point it's actually WADA+IOC+ISU vs. RUSADA. Russian media has reported the hearing in front of CAS will not take place today anymore.

Some extra blood flow to the heart makes them capable to endure the extreme amount of training. Zagitova said in an interview they sometimes trained 12 hours per day. I am not sure whether it's 100% true but I do think they needed to be doped simply to be able to cope with the workload required by Tutberidze...
And yes, I am afraid the professional life of Kamila is ruined and I feel especially sorry for her becuase 1) I am pretty sure she personally did everything she could to be a brilliant skater (and she is) and 2) if her skating career is ruined than what other career options does she have? Did she have a proper education beside training 24/7?

Anna has been tested several times this year and she is 100% clean. She and Sasha got tested much more than Kamila in previous years as well.
