Kim's representatives end Orser's coaching relationship threads merged

Mr Orser, would you pls shut up??!!!

When I first heard about Orser's interview, I was wondering why Yuna and company wanted to end the relationship because I trusted Brian for his good personality and excellent coaching skills. Now I totally understand why Yuna wants to leave him. He is a hyprocrite and big mouth. I dont understand why he is sabotaging his best student ever (maybe forever)...
Brian, what is wrong with you????

We can take sides, express our opinions, speculating, etc but can we all move on now? LOL. As a Yuna fan and I appreciate Brian for everything..I wish both parties the very best.

You know I'm starting to find myself more and more disappointed with Brian Orser.

When I get into arguments with a close friend, I keep my mouth shut and take a few hits and see if my friend stops hitting. The true sign of love is patience. I understand that it may be difficult to remain patient with the situation at the Cricket Club with the other skaters, but this does not to be aired over the media this way at this point. The big news is past.

The fact that Brian Orser is STILL talking to the media. I am referring to the new article.

http://www.thestar.com/sports/olymp...istraught-as-coaching-controversy-swirls?bn=1

The fact is one side (regardless of whether they were right or wrong) is remaining tight lipped in order to not rock the boat (as the news is out now, its not likely any new news is going to effect the situation in a new way): Yuna's agency (might just be they're wrong but still).

Brian Orser is still pointing fingers and saying "the other side" will learn from this. No mention of himself. Refers to an escalation of problems, but nothing else on his part. Saying she'll be alright and she'll grow from this only comes off as a veneer of compassion because of the fact that he's still talking. It kind of comes off that he's more concerned with himself and his image than with his once supposedly beloved skater. Just butt hurt maybe. But this is sounding like a man who's pride is clouding his judgment. Trying to win the small war (media battle), you've lost the big war (a beloved friend). Maybe you've written off Yuna as a lost cause because you think there's no hope but that seems very harsh. You'll live to regret this one day, because I think you're human enough to miss her.

Here's a lesson. We're all more generous to ourselves and less generous to others. Brian wasn't willing to bridge the gap (neither was ATS to be fair), so he burned it and its a roaring fire now. Sure emotions come out, but learn when to stop talking to the media. The media IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. Your supporters will SUPPORT YOU REGARDLESS. So STOP TALKING. Get a lid on it ASAP.

Look at Tracy and David Wilson. ABSOLUTE SILENCE. Because that's how you deal with stuff like this. The first couple interviews can be understood. That they're still going on... I have no right to judge but I am severely disappointed in the fact that there are STILL interviews.

Keep the secrets inside the family. Even though people like me will still read up on it SIGH (I'm a hypocrite).

Edit: It basically seems Brian Orser has gone into a me vs. them mentality rather than an us mentality. Either trust broke down a long time ago or a lot of egos are getting in the way.

I think Brian Orser is telling the facts. But half truths are more dangerous than complete truths (not saying its on purpose). And given the completely opposite statements provided by Yuna directly on her website, I can't help but get confused. Yuna talking with her emotions and heart instead of with facts in order to defend her mom? Or is there something there. Miscommunication? Like am I the only one who STILL can't believe that each side is basically calling each other a liar by repeating contradicting statements? Its basically saying the other is telling a lie without actually coming out and saying it (minus twitter).

One question I'm really wondering is...
Given that Brian put the blame on Yuna's mother. I doubt he knew Yuna would come roaring in like that (especially given his other interviews). He's definitely backtracked on that. Wondering if this fight was even necessary.

Edit:
Sometimes the truth is not as important. So what if you're right, you lose. It might be better to lose and win the big prize if you know what I mean. Given who Yuna and Orser are (how public they are) its probably unfair to expect them to do that, but I had hoped their former bond was strong enough for them to at least be willing to be in a vulnerable position to each other and come out of this with as little hurt as possible.

And I was referring to this particular portion of the article:

"I know this could have been handled differently on their part and it could have been done in a way that we could have avoided all of this." Both sides Brian even if not true would have been helpful.

And NO, I'm not trying to secretly tear Brian down and place the blame on him. I just have to many experiences where the silent side is the right side rather than the wrong side in my personal life in order to rule that out and just jump to the conclusion that the older and probably more reliable Orser is right and Yuna and her camp are wrong. If he was quieter I would be more inclined to believe him. Ironically.

To MrBerkeley, welcome to the forum and thank you for your contributions.

Usually I say, "post often, post long" to new members. So anyway, post often. :)

Seriously Yuna, why on earth are you still at the Cricket??? :confused:Go and find other training accommodations! You can't expect to have a rift with the club's head coach, publicly call him a liar, and still be able to skate there. It is a very similar situation to this: you quit your job, insulted your boss, and then still showed up at work everyday - it makes no sense! You can probably slice the tension in that rink with a knife....:disapp:

Also, why doesn't Korea have Facebook?

She is STILL working with her programs with Canadian choreographers. Where do you want her to go? Sigh.

Please STOP talking to the media already!! It's getting worst and worst. :disapp:

Many countries block sites like Facebook because of all the controversy surrounding them. China doesn't allow access to Facebook or YouTube, and I imagine Korea is similar. They have their own social networking sites (QQ is popular in China).

Go rent ice at another arena! It's very simple.

Thanks!

Orser has been very attentive in planning and timing of Yuna's music/program revelation for the last 3 years. Now that he is no longer her coach, he seemed just threw that information to the media without Yuna's consent. He may have intended well, but that's her right.

Do you have any suggestion where? Maybe you can help them.

Are you going to keep repeating this everyday until she leaves the Cricket? why don't you go to her official site and leave a comment there or send an email to adm? You are not helping a situation at all.

Then good. I just wish the Brian will stop talking to the media. That's all.

^ Apart from what the poster says, I must say that is impressive. Canada is one skating crazy country!

.

Are you sure he's still talking? Or are different media outlets simply "picking up the story" and quoting Brian's statements from another article/interview?
