Kim's representatives end Orser's coaching relationship threads merged

What is undeniable is that they fired Brian and then kept silent about it. I don't know what ATS thought would happen next or maybe they were incapable of thinking this through?
This is not undeniable. First of all, they didn't fire anyone, they didn't renew his contract. Then according to ATS it was Brian who resigned, not that they fired him. This is another instance where they contradict each other.

Silence is better than unmeaning words:cool:

Actually this is the new SP music (although "Hit The Road Jack is a classic!)

Thank you so much for some much needed lightness in this thread!

Yes, I know it's a serious situation, but a little laughter never hurt anyone. Also, it's unlikely we'll ever know exactly what happened and I'm beginning to hope everyone will eventually get over this mess. It's a true shame to end a great 4 years this way.

No, I disagree my friend. In North America we consider that Orser was fired which is why he has used those words himself.

Also, I say it is undeniable that ATS kept quiet about firing Brian and Tracy - leaving him no choice but to make a statement.

Here is a song for ATS even if it also seems to fit Brian and Yuna.

You are not my friend.
You may consider what you want, but don't present your considerations as facts.

You know I'm beginning to wonder if there was never a plan for a new coach and it really was like a temporary break (not going to take the worlds seriously) except on a need basis (Yuna's mad about something else so wasn't talking but it had nothing to do with this decision) and when Orser said he was fired (vs. "we will not be using your services" at this time laid off kind of thing) it was some huge misunderstanding aka ATS surprise, etc. Like maybe in Korean culture, when you say hey we don't need you right now or your services, it doesn't mean fired...? Cultural thing somewhere? Unlikely, but we never know if it has the same connotation or "emotional" touch as "OGM FIRES." Pretty spectacular media line probably blew the whole thing up...

That's for sure! How is it possible that any of us could understand the situation? At this point, I'm not even sure that Brian or YuNa even know exactly what happened. Things seem to have snowballed from an issue that probably started out rather small and manageable. I'm sure everyone's emotions were frazzled from the stress of the past season, and even from the positive stress of the team's success. So no one was able to keep a cool head about whatever happened.

They simply say different things, so we can't really tell who was right or wrong.

In what culture "fired" means "we don't need right now your services"? :) Maybe the fact that they didn't renew the contract can be considered as "firing"? I don't know, English is not my native language. But then talk about May, not August.

Whoa cool down Daniel.
Don't worry, I'm cool as ice. Just don't like his familiarities, like he doesn't know what I think about him.

Anyways, dead horse is dead. I'm out. Thanks for the chat. I'm returning to college football boards (lol). Ah the effects of sisters and a mother on you. (not that it was a bad thing :p)

Will come back now and then now that this news finally pulled me out of lurker status... so I'd better learn to juggle now between say 10 boards. Not to mention my RL (which has been too consumed by this for a few days... weird thing is the women of the house are sort of taking this really cool... shrug, happens all the time?) Peace.

Por favor senor, (I almost wrote "por favor mi amigo") but felt no need for sarcasm.
I enjoyed you initial post last night. I agreed with much of it - and so what if I don't agree with every single word you write.
Lots of arguments and fights happen at skating boards. I admire your passion for Yuna and think you presented a fair enough POV.

You can even lecture me about my own language if that makes you happy but I see no reason to not offer my own POV.

The truth appears to be that Orser was fired. In my language one might also say he was axed, given the ol' heave ho, or was 86'ed, chucked, booted, sacked, ousted or terminated.
Without any doubt Ms Park gave Orser a pink slip, his marching orders, he was most definitely and undeniably dismissed and let go.

According to Yuna it was her decision to terminate Brian. Call it what you want but it doesn't change a thing or make anybody who admires both of them feel any better. Maybe Yuna taking credit publicly makes ATS feel better.
